2015 Tokyo Motor Show Ready to Showcase Nissan’s Concept 2020 Vision GT

The line-up for the 2015 Tokyo motor show is fast growing with some impressive additions. The upcoming Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo from Nissan is a worthy addition to the lot.

While the actual competition occurs in the consumer market, vehicle manufacturers love to showcase their best during auto shows. They are able to show not only the upcoming vehicles, but concept cars with extremely futuristic technology and design. The Frankfurt auto show was a great example and the upcoming Tokyo show is no different.

Nissan has a couple of cars lined up for the expo, but the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo is definitely eons ahead in terms of design. The car has been exclusively designed and developed last year for the popular game title Gran Turismo. While it was supposed to be a virtual addition, Nissan is all geared up to make the dream come true in the next five years.

It is also being rumored that the company has plans to borrow design elements from this concept car and incorporate it into the upcoming Nissan GT-R R36. We don’t have an actual date for its launch yet, but it should be somewhere in 2017 or 2018.

During the grand reveal of the Concept 2020 Vision GT, Nissan commented that it showcases the company’s vision for their future cars.

“We would like consumers to know the type of super cars that we will produce in the future. The concept is a great example of what we have in mind”, the company said in its statement. The entire concept was conceived and created by an energetic group of young designers who operated from London, England. The car received technical ideas from the advanced engineering team which operates from a technical center located in Atsugi, Japan.

The Vision GT is a stunning car which you may have probably witnessed only in games and virtual reality videos. However, this one is completely real with fiery red grille and a strong red exterior coating which the company likes to address as the Fire Knight. The Tokyo Motor Show 2015 will also witness another concept vehicle from Nissan named the Teatro Dayz. It’s going to be a fully connected vehicle, which can accommodate multiple passengers comfortably and has features to instantly share with and connect to popular social media websites.

We are really not sure whether social media will be a relevant space in the next few years, but if Nissan says so, then there’s no choice, but to go with the idea.
