The 1500 Rally Edition will be limited in numbers and a great add-on for fans of full size pickup trucks.
Silverado has had a great lineup of special editions throughout history and almost every one of them went on to become a great success. A bunch of unique add-ons are found in the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Rally Edition with exclusive black hood stripes on the sides and has a monochromatic exterior. Along with the black stripes, there are hockey stick shaped stripes as a second layer on the sides of the car. Major part of the chrome strip is replaced with black accents in the special edition truck.
Buyers have the option to go for 20-inch or 22-inch wheels. The special edition is headed to the Texas Motor Speedway event because of which Chevrolet has launched the pickup truck exclusives in the Texas region before bringing it to the rest of the country. The NASCAR event is also set to take place this week which is when Dale Earnhardt Jr. will promote the full size pickup truck.
Apart from the particular model, other versions of the Silverado full size pickup trucks will also be promoted in this racing event. It includes the Silverado 1500 Realtree edition, 1500 Midnight edition and the 2500 Midnight Edition. All these four models are going to be at the Duck Commander 500 racing event. Chevrolet has a long history of being an active participant at such events and will stick to their long running tradition.
While these special editions have some significant changes in terms of design, they are nearly the same as the dealership version. The powertrain variant, center console and other features remain unchanged. The exterior changes make it easy for the event organizers to easily distinguish one model from another. Besides, it also serves the purpose of making the pickup trucks popular among buyers.
The pricing of the particular models is not known as Chevrolet doesn’t have plans to roll them all to dealership stores. Instead, a specific model may find its way to the customer zone based on demand. While the brand continues to make progress in the world of electric cars and automatic systems, they have a strong hold on the pickup truck segment which has a strong patronage even in an era of autonomous vehicles.
