The 2016 Honda Odyssey is now up for the grabs at all Honda Dealerships across the world. For the 2016 version of the popular minivan, Honda has added a special model, dubbed the Special Edition with a price a little higher than the regular van.
The price for the Special Edition 2016 Honda Odyssey starts at $34,225 with an included destination charge.
The difference between the special edition and the regular edition is in the features. The 2016 Honda Odyssey Special Edition includes some of the premium features and conveniences of the pricier, more luxury models in the Honda palette.
Some of those features include a 115-volt power outlet, Honda VAC, which is the vehicle’s vacuum cleaner, a rear-seat system for entertainment and much more.
According to the representatives from Honda, the Special Edition of the popular minivan will provide customers with a high value proposition previously available for more luxurious models. The company was guided by the features that customers told they want to see in the minivan and features that the customers value the most.
“We packaged the new features in the new Odyssey Special Edition model to create a special-value edition that we know American families are going to love” announced the Senior VP and GM of Honda Sales, Jeff Conrad.
The body of the minivan is refined and now sports a youthful and advanced look. Some of the styling elements include black-trimmed headlights, LED taillights, black-surround grille and many more. For the hood, Honda used aluminum which reduces the weight of the car. All the versions are also equipped with a headlight system that is programed to turn on the headlights whenever you activate the front wipers. Additionally, Honda has also added a ‘one-touch turn’ signal that the driver can use, during lane changing routines.
The base model of the popular minivan starts at $30,155 which includes shipping. The EX version is priced at $33,305 with the Special Edition having a price tag of $34,225. The best model is the Touring Elite, which has a price tag of $45,630.
All versions are powered by a 3.5 liter engine that packs 248hp. The V6 engine of the Odyssey is paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission.
The Honda Odyssey has won the Best Minivan Award for Families for the fifth straight year in 2015. The vehicle was recognized by the U.S. News and World Report. The popular minivan has also earned the 2015 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy award. With better performances and features, the 2016 Odyssey should continue the successful ride of the popular minivan.
