The automobile manufacturer is ready to welcome the year with a brand new, revamped version – the 2016 Infiniti QX60 albeit the fact that the number of changes are at their bare minimum.
The luxury brand who has a very strong presence in Japan and is growing out of their home country at a rapid pace is gearing up to launch the new model. The SUV has very minimal changes and if we have to point out the prominent ones from the list, it is the better suspension and the steering control integrated into it.
The three row crossover has a brand new interior which the brand believes will help them reach more buyers and the exterior elements are tweaked in such a way that it looks sharper with a meaner look than the previous bulky finish. Among the changes, we can easily notice the headlights which is sharper because of the rearranged housings inside them.
In the earlier model, the double arch grille and fog light surrounds had a commuter’s touch to them. It has bene made sportier in order to appeal to a larger lot. While the interior changes are once again subtle as the rest of the crossover, the upper instrument panel displays a striking difference. It is now wrapped in a soft clothed material which makes it easier to handle it at all times.
As its earlier models, the company has confirmed that the upcoming 2016 Infiniti QX60 will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The first on the list is the 3.5-liter V6 engine which offers a good 256bhp and has 248 lb feet of torque. The company has added that they have worked hard to make the suspension system and the steering control work differently than it used to.
According to the designers, the all-new steering system is highly sensitive to speed and requires 2.9 turns so as to fully lock it. The side windows have also received an upgrade which makes them noise proof. They have used acoustic glass with three different layers changing the way the windows work. You will no longer be bothered by external noises and tires screeching. Besides, it is a great way to listen to music and movies on long journeys without being disturbed by external noises.
While the new Infiniti doesn’t warrant an immediate purchase for current owners, it is a possible option for them to go for, down the year.
