2016 Kia Picanto Expected to Give a Tough Time for Competitors

The 2016 Kia Picanto is getting launched in Australia and the company has confidently claimed that they will soon make it to the top while pushing all their competitors to the ground.

The micro car is easily a popular choice among buyers who like to own a model that allows them to go places and enjoy great fuel efficiency. By making it cheaper to buy, the brand has created an extremely competitive environment for all their rival brands. The company’s representatives said that they expect to sell at least 300 cars a month.

Kia Picanto will compete against the likes of Suzuki Celerio, Nissan Micra and Mirage from Mitsubishi. The last in the list is surprisingly the top seller in the region and continues to set new records for every other brand. Compared to other automobile manufacturers, Mitsubishi is relatively a low profile company which has managed to touch new heights made possible by their quality and performance.

The five-door Picanto is set to hit dealership stores this weekend and the base variant of the car is priced at $14,990. It is powered by a standard automatic transmission system while there is no other option to upgrade it to a manual gearbox. It is also confirmed that Kia has no plans to keep expanding the line up with newer power trains and more customization options as it may hurt sales. Instead, the company is going to power all their resources into one and driving features to make it a compulsory buy for those planning to go for a micro car.

In the Australian region, the 2016 Kia Picanto is the cheapest car available and is at least $2,000 less than the Celerio. Besides, the manufacturer provides a solid seven-year warranty for their product.

According to statistics, majority of the buyers, seventy percent to be precise will be young owners who are buying their first car. Picanto is a favorite choice among young people who love sporty models which are easy to drive around and are fuel efficient besides being cheap to buy.
