Mazda has officially confirmed the pricing for the 2016 CX-9, the three row crossover. The pricing for the base model of the car starts at $32,420. Based on the model of your choice, the pricing will go higher while adding some exciting new features to it.
The price is for the sports trim base variant which is powered by a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G turbo charged four-cylinder engine. It is capable of delivering 227 horsepower combined with a cool 310 lb feet of torque. The model uses a six speed automatic transmission system and it will be the only gearbox variant offered by the company. There is no way to upgrade it. The car uses a front wheel drive system which can be upgraded to an all-wheel drive system on almost all the available trim levels.
The basic model sport trim uses LED lights for the front and the tail lights. Important features and add-ons found in the model includes an electronic parking brake for safety, cloth upholstery, rearview camera for drivers to maneuver the tight spots, trailer stability assist and 18-inch alloy wheels. The car is also equipped with the company’s proprietary Mazda Connect infotainment system. It uses a 7-inch display to control the music and other features in the car.
Buyers have the option to pay an additional cost of $950 which will enable them to get the Sport package. The pack adds power driver’s seat, heated door mirrors as well as heated front seats for a comfortable ride. The Sport trim base model is followed by the Touring grade. It is priced at $36,860. The particular trimline variant includes a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, home link garage door opener, power lift gate and power controlled front seats.
A Touring Premium package is also available for 2016 Mazda CX-9 owners. The pack does sounds premium as it includes Bose premium sound system, LED fog lights, Sirius XM satellite radio, wipers that sense rainfall and much more. It also includes automatic emergency braking which every automobile manufacturer wants to make a default offering in all cars by 2020.
Grand Touring is the next in the lineup priced at $41,070 with another bunch load of features. The top end of the 2016 Mazda CX-9 is the Signature trim which includes nappa leather stitching, LED accent lighting on the inside and rosewood trim provided by the company Fujigen. It comes with an all-wheel drive system.
