2016 Mercedes Maybach S600 is Lavishly Luxurious with a $200,000 Price Tag

There is nothing called too much of luxury, right? Wrong! For the common buyer who commutes using his vehicle, luxury is an automotive drive and some additional features like leather seats to make the ride comfortable.

For the unapologetically rich people, it’s all about getting more value for what they pay. In this perspective, the $200,000 Mercedes Maybach S600 offers great value for money because it has so many flamboyant features that you will soon lose count of them. Everything from the seats to the engine and the tires speak of exquisiteness that it is not for the faint-hearted.

Luxury car manufacturers Rolls Royce and Bentley focus on the pricey segment, whereas Mercedes, which has reduced the price of the Maybach by half with its latest edition, has created a new segment. It is for the buyers who have outgrown the BMWs and the Audis, but aren’t too picky to go for a Rolls Royce.

In many aspects, the car resembles a limousine and people like to call it as the ‘mini limo’ which is obvious from its lengthy design and appearance. The car is powered by a 6.0 liter V 12 bit turbo engine. It is capable of delivering 523 horsepower with 612 pf of torque which allows the driver to reach from 0 to 60 in just 5 seconds. Given the massive weight of the luxury car at 5269 pounds, it is such a miracle that it could achieve so much speed in such less time.

A Quiet Beast

As the manufacturer claims, the Mercedes Maybach S600 2016 edition is one of the quietest cars in the world and is exceptionally smooth even when it bumps against uneven crates on the road. The vehicle also bundles leather pillows for passengers to fall asleep in a cozy manner. A 1-inch thick carpet made out of sheep skin is used on the floor while all seats are made using espresso nappa leather.

A surprising feature found in the new Maybach is its four leather seats, which also offer masseuse services for the riders. There are six different massage variants to choose from and you can also change the interior lights to suit the mood. It offers seven different colors from moonlight blue to wood trim. Additional features include rear consoles to provide the riders with information, a champagne cooler and forged alloy wheels. The last two features add up to the total cost of the vehicle.

Safety features available in the vehicle include automatic braking system, lane switching, adaptive cruise and huge air bags on all sides.
