The official pricing and trimline variants available for the 2016 Nissan Titan XD has been announced.
The half-ton pickup truck with a 5.6-liter V8 engine is considered a popular choice among buyers who need towing capacity without compromising on overall performance.
The base variant of the XD S crew cab with 4×2 driving system is priced at $36,485. It includes destination charges while the most elite variant of them all, the Titan XD platinum reserve crew cab with four-wheel drive is priced at $56,445. The car can be customized and there are plenty of additional packages the buyer could go for. All these variants are powered by the same 5.6-liter, V8 engine which is the same as the one found in the previous models. However, the engineers have tweaked it to deliver increased horsepower and performance.
It is capable of rendering about 390 horsepower combined with 401 lb feet of torque. The earlier model is very low in comparison as it delivers a total horsepower of 317. With enough tweaks and changes, the same engine now delivers much better performance. The base model doesn’t feature an all-wheel driving system. Buyers can choose it as an add-on package. The total cost to upgrade the base XD S crew to four-wheel drive is pegged at $3,000. It increases the total cost of the vehicle. The company also offers an utility package and a S convenience package. They cost an additional $800 and is available for the base model.
Next in the lineup is the 2016 Nissan Titan XD SV crew cab priced at $40,255. Adding four-wheel drive to it increases the cost by $2,950. Buyers can upgrade the car with the SV utility package for $1,200 and the SV comfort & convenience add-on for $2,590. While the pricing increases the base price of the particular model, it is considered a cost efficient choice without having to choose a completely different trimline variant.
The list of available models continues with the Titan XD SL crew priced at $48,225 followed by the top of the line variant, the 2016 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Crew Cab. The pricing is at $53,665 while adding four-wheel drive adds $3,050 to total costs. There’s an optional DVD entertainment package at $2,190.
The brand also offers the Titan XD Pro 4X Crew with four-wheel drive as a default feature and it is focused on off-road driving. More details of the cab will be unveiled at the 2016 New York auto show.
