In an attempt to bring back the wagon to the mainstream audience, aggressive advertisement campaigns are planned for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma.
The brand has to go head on against some of the biggest sellers in the market, including the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC’s Canyon. Both these trucks share a lot of similarities with the Tacoma, which, due to its rapidly aging design and features has lost a major share of its sales to its competitors. For the first time in many years, Toyota has completely revamped the truck and has given it a stylish makeover which is sure to gain popularity among the general audience.
The new advertisements to promote the 2016 Toyota Tacoma will air in television channels and over the web from Monday onwards. The company, while talking to one of the leading car magazines, confirmed that they are all set to promote it big time, in a massive scale like never before. The promotions will be geared at showcasing some of the strong features of the truck and may subtly compare its highlights against the Colorado as well as the Canyon. It’s the first ever advertisement campaign in almost a decade.
General Motors took the unconventional route in their advertisement campaigns. They promoted the mid-sized pickup trucks as personal vehicles. The approach is completely different from usual advertisements that focus these trucks as more of tow vehicles and as those that help transport goods from one region to another.
While Toyota has already unveiled the next gen Tacoma to the general public, the trucks are yet to reach the consumers. The manufacturing plant is busy building those vehicles, while the dealers are focusing on reducing the existing stock of Tacoma 2015 edition. The newer models are stylish in appearance, integrated with plenty of technical advancements including full support for mobile devices and available in multiple engine variants making it easy for buyers to choose the one they like the most.
Its immense success has prompted multiple vendors to get into the mid-sized pickup truck segment. However, with the right promotion, Toyota can stay ahead of the competition and keep their Tacoma at the top of the line for some more years before launching a brand new model to keep buyers interested in their offerings. Meanwhile, Colorado and Canyon are the best sellers in the next two places and are quickly gaining pace to reach the top spot, but it’s definitely not going to be an easy climb.
