Audi has revamped the existing model and the new 2017 Audi A3 is ready with some subtle changes to the exterior design.
It’s mandatory modification because the company is supposed to bring all their cars under one styling aspect similar to the A4 series.
Almost every model getting released this year looks sleek than the outgoing version. The A3 is no different but the changes is evident in the front grille and the headlights. The LED lighting pattern already used in the A4 is now incorporated in this model. The grille looks much broader than it used to be giving it a bold front look and contours are sharper to add a touch of sporty finish to it. The LED lighting upgrade can also be spotted in the rear. The modified rear diffuser not just adds to the style quotient but also increases performance.
On the inside, buyers will be pleasantly surprised to see that the 2017 Audi A3 features a virtual cockpit found in all latest Audi cars. The center console is gaining unparalleled attention from almost every automobile manufacturer because there is plenty of potential space to expand in the area. It is where passengers interact the most with their car. The size of the TFT display is increased to a 12.3-inch screen. It allows A3 owners to readily know plenty of information including speed, navigation, map, audio and vehicle diagnostics.
The latest version of the Audi MMI infotainment system is found in model. It is much more informative and features a renewed operating system. The upgrade provides better details on the destination, parking facilities available and weather conditions. It now supports 4G LTE connectivity making it easier to stay updated on the go but a nominal fee will be charged by the company in order to offer the services.
While the big screen offers all necessary information, there’s an additional 7-inch display which can be retracted back to save space when not in use. It is fully connected to the web and offers exclusive services from Google Earth, Maps and Street View apps. With the MMI connect app, passengers can stream online media through the 2017 Audi A3 and even transfer content, including calendar appointments from their phone to the car. The system is compatible with both Apple and Android phones.
Audi offers multiple powertrain variants with the 2017 A3 and has now incorporated a seven speed twin clutch automatic transmission system to all models.
