With such a powerful engine on the inside coupled with stylish exterior and a sporty finish, it is obviously not the vehicle for your everyday usage. The official pricing for the 2017 GT Speed is $240,300. The pricing is for the base model which might surprise most buyers. But, there are actually base variants and high end variants even when it comes to expensive sports cars. The Black Edition is the top of the line from Bentley which is priced higher at $253,235.

For those who have excess cash to spend and don’t mind spending a fortune to own a convertible version of a sports sedan, the 2017 Bentley Continental GT Speed is available in a convertible variant priced at $264,300. The Black edition trim of the convertible is priced at $277, 235. Surprisingly, the pricing announced by the company doesn’t include destination charges. Bentley is still considering the costs so that they could fix the same fee for people living throughout the United States.

The powerful GT Speed is powered by a 6.0-liter twin turbo W12 engine which is capable of producing an amazing 633 horsepower coupled with 619 lb feet of torque. The numbers are higher than the existing GT edition which delivers 626 horsepower with 605 lb feet of torque. The model uses an eight speed automatic transmission system. The brand executives announced during the launch that their car can reach a top speed of 206 miles per hour and its acceleration capacity is 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

The GT lineup is being expanded so as to offer buyers plenty of choices to pick from. However, there is no word on the next generation sports car from Bentley. The company’s top engineers are working to create a vehicle that could match the hype GT has created throughout the years.

The production period is being filled with newer versions of the GT including the newly announced GT Speed, Black Edition and the Convertible variants. Buyers who pre-order the car will start receiving their vehicles this summer.
