The long list of hatchbacks available in the model is just growing. The newest to join the list is the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback. Pricing and specifications of the model has been officially detailed.
At least six other hatchbacks are available at the moment including the 2016 Ford Focus SE, Toyota Corolla iM, Volkswagen Golf with four door design, and the Hyundai Elantra GT. They are the 2016 editions of their respective brands and a revamped model is expected to be out real soon. The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze will be a direct competitor for those refreshed models. Honda already offers the Civic hatchback in the same segment. With so many around, it is going to be a really tough call for Chevy to showcase themselves as the leaders in the market.
Despite growing competition, it is evident that the automobile manufacturer will surely give their best. The specifications and the pricing of the new Cruze confirmed that they are heading in the right direction. The car is priced at $22,190. It includes destination delivery charges of $875. The model will be available with two different trim lines, the LT and the Premier variants. A faster and sporty RS package is also part of the options available but we have very limited information available about it.
To keep things interesting, the brand offers a range of features bundled with the standard model. However, when compared to the ones being offered by other automobile manufacturers, pricing of the Cruze hatchback 2017 edition is still on the higher side. Technology features are plenty including 4G LTE support on the go and the car is equipped with a Wifi hotspot. It makes it easier to share the internet with every device on board including smartphone, laptops and tablets. Teen Driver suite is a feature parents would appreciate as it allows them to monitor their teenage kids who are driving the car for the first time.
The model also supports wireless mobile charging for devices that has the feature. The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback is powered by a 1.4-liter I 4 engine which is expected to be fuel efficient with 30 to 42 miles per gallon in highways and 29 to 41 mpg in the city. The RS variant is coming to Cruze but there is no official detailed available. In order to offer something similar to what Ford does with its Focus RS edition, Chevrolet has to come up with its own sporty variant real soon.
