The official pricing for the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is now out.
The auto manufacturer announced that they have priced the classica trim variant at $25,990. It is coupled with a six speed manual gearbox.
There are plenty of other variants to choose from. The next in the lot is the Lusso grade which is the mid-level Spider priced at $28,490. The pricing announced by the company includes destination charges and those who order it from different parts of the country will get it delivered to their doorstep. The top of the line is the Abarth which is obviously priced a bit higher at $29,190. While the manual gearbox is the one offered in all models, buyers have the option to upgrade their vehicle to an automatic system by paying $1,350 as additional cost.
The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is powered by a 1.4-liter Turbo Four engine. The car is capable of producing a total power of 160 horsepower combined with 184 lb feet of torque. The powertrain used by all the trimline variants are similar. However, the top of the line Abarth has its engine tweaked to provide better performance. It delivers an increased 165 horsepower. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the model has a fuel efficiency of 26 mpg in city and 35 mpg in highway with the manual gearbox system.
The base model, Classicauses 16-inch alloy wheels with halogen headlights and cloth based upholstery. It also has dual exhaust tips with the side sills and door handles colored after the body paint. The Lusso trimline uses 17-inch alloy wheels with chrome dual exhausts, leather upholstery and the center console besides other areas feature exquisite piano black accents. Top of the line Abarth includes Bilstein shocks, strut tower bar and there’s a dedicated sport mode selector.
Buyers have the option to upgrade their choice of trimline with a bigger 7-inch infotainment system, rear cross traffic alert, rearview camera and an immersive Bose audio system with nine speaker setup. It also includes heated seats, brakes from Brembo and Recaro sport seats for maximum comfort. Some of them are exclusive to the Abarth model.
Apart from the choice of cars available, Fiat offers a 124 Prima Edizione. The car will be limited in numbers as the company will make only 124 models and it is officially priced at $35,995. The bundle includes pen, poster and a blue leather bag.
