2017 Ford Escape Gets Fordpass Mobile and Apple Carplay

The refreshed version, the 2017 Ford Escape is all ready to hit dealership stores in the month of May.

With just weeks to go, the company has announced new features to be implemented in the model including Fordpass mobile and Apple Carplay support.


Escape is one of their popular SUV model which now gets better with the help of the Fordpass mobile feature. It will allow owners of the car to do a wide variety of tasks including fuel levels, lock and unlock the model besides set a timer so that the car would remotely start. The map uses a feature named Sync Connect. It is part of the Technology Package for the Escape SE model.

The top of the line Titanium gets the package by default because it is priced much higher making it possible for the manufacturers to provide the feature without additional cost. The feature Sync Connect is debuting in the 2017 Escape model for the first time and it has also been officially confirmed that it is coming to Fusion towards the end of the year. It will be enabled through the Ford Pass mobile system.

Remote vehicle access is the feature found in most models which is what Ford wanted to change with its Ford Pass service. The idea is to make it easy for people to do a variety of tasks related to transportation and not just control their car. It makes it easier for one to travel through the city doing multiple transportation choices. Users can also reserve parking spots, share a ride, rent a bike and much more.

The 2017 Ford Escape is the first model to receive the Sync 3 feature which will enable the car to support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. Most car drivers are familiar with these two services in recent times. With majority of them owning either an Android or an iPhone, it allows them to readily connect their devices so as to share it with the car’s infotainment system.


Apart from these feature updates, the model features an upgraded engine, uses a new steering wheel which promises maximum comfort and standard auto start/ stop features. It is also integrated with electronic parking brake, EcoBoost engines for maximum fuel efficiency. The exterior of the car is much sleeker and is expected to be an appealing choice for all strata of buyers.
