The Civic has been around for a long time now with minimal upgrades now and then. From the recent spy shots, it looks like the 2017 Honda Civic might be the big overhaul that many buyers are waiting for.

2017 Honda Civic Revealed In New Spy Shots

The upcoming model is going to be a lot different than what people would associate with the Civic series. The car is set to be built entirely in the United Kingdom and sold in the region as well as other neighboring countries. While the model has been known to be a family friendly car which in other words could be considered as dull looks for many, the new launch is going to be completely sporty and lure young buyers into it. The spy shots reveal a Civic which is not camouflaged and gives us a clear outlook of the car.

The concept was first showcased at the 2016 Geneva motor show. Within months, spy photographers have managed to capture the production version and it doesn’t look much different than the one we saw at the Geneva show this year. The interiors are perfectly clear with a revamped infotainment system. The car scheduled to go on sale next February will be priced around £15,000. The actual pricing of the model can be confirmed only when the manufacturer announces it.

It is official that the 2017 Honda Civic will be powered by a 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter VTEC turbo engines. Another variant will use a 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine. The cars are scheduled to be built in the manufacturing plant located in Swindon. The new model features a sporty looking low roofline and the size of the bonnet has been extended further. It also has revamped taillights, twin exhaust pipes and boomerang shaped rear lamps. All these components when put together make the Civic stylish like never before.

The current model spotted through spy photographs might undergo some changes if Honda bosses feel it needs some minor tweaks.  The changes are expected to make the car easy to steer, provide better control for the driver and high maneuverability.

A range of connectivity features and luxurious add-ons are expected to be part of the dashboard. We don’t have any information in that regard yet but it won’t be long before details related to the 2017 Honda Civic start trickling in. Stay tuned and we will bring you everything you need to know in the following weeks.
