2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport Updated Edition Priced at $38,690

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport is the updated edition which now has an official price tag.

The auto manufacturer has also confirmed the new features found in the model along with the powertrain used in it.

The base price of the Discovery Sport is at $38,690 which includes destination charges of $995. The model will be available in two different variants including the HSE LUX and the HSE which is now offered with a dynamic design package. The pack adds brand new color, design tweaks to the interior and the exterior of the car. With the pack, the model receives integrated exhaust pipes attached to the front as well as the rear bumpers.

It upgrades the 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport with 20-inch alloy wheels with a gloss black finish. The package brings leather seats with contrast stitching sidelines and a custom designed gearshift knob. It also includes carpeted floor mats while the center dash trim and the pedals use a metal finish. It adds to the durability of the components and provides a sophisticated finish to the interiors of the car.

As part of the upgrade, Land Rover has added four new colors for the 2017 Discovery Sport. While it may not be a significant change to elaborate about, it does give more options for those buyers who are not satisfied with the existing color palette. The four colors are Carpathian grey, Aruba metallic, Silicon Silver and Farallon Black.

The SUV is equipped with the latest version of the InControl Touch Pro Infotainment system which boasts of a large 10.2-inch touchscreen display. The screen is very much similar to the smartphones people use on a daily basis. They can tap to open an app, pinch to zoom in or out on a map which according to Land Rover will make navigation easy for drivers. The Touch Pro system is exceptionally fast this time around because it uses a quad core processor with integrated graphics and has a solid state drive making it extremely responsive to touch.

Three different drive assist technologies are incorporated into the 2017 Land Rover model. They are the driver condition monitor, intelligent speed limiter and lane keep assist. The car is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity system. The model is bundled with tile tags which uses Bluetooth technology to identify small items such as keys, wallets and smartphones. It triggers an alarm to locate the item.
