2017 Maserati Levante U.S. Launch to Take Place at New York Auto Show

The 2017 Maserati Levante is heading to the New York auto show and will be the spot where the official U.S. launch is set to take place. As soon as the event is over, the model will hit dealership stores and buyers can grab hold of it if they like to.

The base trimline variant of the car is priced at $72,000 which doesn’t include delivery charges. For people who just wouldn’t settle for anything less than the premium model, the 2017 Maserati Levante S is offered with a price tag of $83,000. Both these charges will go slightly higher when delivery charges are added to it which is expected to be somewhere in the lines of $1,250.

It is powered by a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6 engine which renders a total of 345 horsepower and the S variant of the same is boosted to deliver 424 horsepower. The all-wheel drive system is standard on all models. They are capable of automatically transferring the torque between the axles whenever there is a requirement for extra power. The models use an eight speed transmission system and it also has start/ stop feature to boost overall fuel economy.

Four different driving modes are included in the car including normal, ICE, sport and off-road. The names are quite self-explanatory. Multiple changes to the engine, transmission and suspension besides some electronic modifications will be made automatically in order to efficiently support the mode chosen by the passenger. Self-locking differential is found on the Levante to boost its on-road capability.

Standard features found in the 2017 Maserati Levante include an audio system with eight speakers, dual zone climate control, Home link garage door opener, wipers designed to sense rainfall automatically, hill descent control, keyless entry and a tailgate with sensors to automatically detect any obstacles. The features are accesses and customized using the 8.4-inch touchscreen. Nostalgia lovers may appreciate the rotary control knob included in the dashboard in an age where touchscreens and voice controls are prevalent.

Buyers can choose to upgrade their Levante with a luxury package or a sport package. The Zegna luxury package upgrades the seats with premium Italian leather, silk finish. There are three different color variants offered by the manufacturer including tan, red and black. The sport package offers a host of additions to make the car more powerful on-road and off-road.
