Maserati has given the four door sedan with two new trim levels. However, they both are set to target different segments going by their set of features. Both trims, though, come with common improvements like new bumpers at both front and rear, matte finished black accents, and new blackened mirrors.

The company, though, has revealed that the new redesigned front bumpers are not just for freshening up the looks. Instead, they are a key part of the aerodynamic advantages that the vehicle possesses. The front bumpers come with an electrically adjustable air shutter which can either improve cooling or aerodynamic efficiency depending on the need. As a result of this new front bumper alone, the new Maserati Quattroporte manages to be 10% efficient in terms of aerodynamics than the predecessor.

Android Auto and Apple Car Play are some of the key elements finding its way in modern cars and it looks like Maserati Quattroporte does not want to be left out of the party. It offers support to both these technologies via the 8.4 inch display. There have been some key changes to the interior like the use of a rotatory knob for the infotainment and volume controls. Furthermore, the vehicle also comes with a device that monitors outside air for pollution and other particulate matters. It can then make some changes to the air conditioning unit so as to keep the occupants in comfort.

The changes occur through the length and width of the vehicle, but Maserati Quattroporte will retain the same engines without any changes. Hence, the Maserati Quattroporte GTS will come with the 3.8-liter V8 with twin turbo chargers developing 523 bhp. The slightly lower specMaserati QuattroporteS will come with a 3.0-liter V6 with the same twin turbocharged set up coming out with 404 bhp. The base version currently on sale in the United States makes 345 bhp and has a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. All vehicles have the same eight speed automatic transmission from ZF.
