The 2017 version of the car is powered by a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine. The engine is capable of producing 362 horsepower with 384 lb feet of torque. The model uses a nine speed automatic transmission system with a new double declutching feature. It allows the car to swiftly downgrade the gears and push back to top speed with minimal delays. The option is automatically activated when the Sports Plus mode is activated.

For the convenience of passengers, the 2017 Mercedes AMG GLC 43 is equipped with five different transmission modes to choose from. It includes the basic Eco, Comfort, Individual to the high performance Sport and Sport Plus modes. Fuel economy is the primary concern in the eco mode where the automatic start and stop button is activated to save gasoline wherever possible. Sports mode obviously pushes the car to deliver the best performance while individual mode is all about customizing it to what the passenger needs.

An all-wheel drive system is used in the GLC 43 with features like adaptive damping, sport air suspension and electronic stability control system. The damping system offers three modes including comfort, sport and sport plus. Stability and control is provided by the large 14.2-inch front brakes while the rear wheels use smaller 12.6-inch brakes.

Interiors feature sports seat for comfortable seating and the borders are lined with red contrast stitching to offer an exquisite finish. Two different instrument clusters measured at 5.5-inches are mounted on the dashboard to offer the driver all the information he or she needs.
