The updates are minimal for the 2017 Mini Hardtop variant and in order to cope up with competition, the automobile manufacturer has kept pricing nearly the same.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new 2017 edition of the two door and the four door models are priced $250 higher. The pricing for the two door edition is confirmed to be $21,800 while the four door model is priced at $22,800. The top of the line Clubman edition is priced at $24,950 which includes destination charges. The pricing of the ClubMan is the same as the 2016 model making it an easy purchase for longtime patrons of the variant.
The 2017 Mini Convertible pricing is once again the same as the outgoing model. It is at $26,800 which is a good choice for luxury sports car lovers. The all new Hardtop models come bundled with the Media package. It includes a spacious 6.5-inch display referred to as the Visual Boost Screen by the company. Features integrated in the screen are Mini Connected system coupled with Bluetooth connectivity and a dedicated front center armrest. Mini Driving Modes are integrated into the ZSP Sport package. However, those who go for the Cooper S and the John Cooper Works variants will receive it without additional costs.
A range of models are getting launched this year. The list is comprised of the 2017 Mini Hardtop, two door edition, four door edition, Clubman and convertible series. The base models are powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of delivering a total of 134 horsepower coupled with 162 lb feet of torque. The higher end variant uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four engine delivering 189 horsepower coupled with 207 lb feet of torque. All models use a six speed manual transmission system which can be upgraded to six speed automatic if they like to. The Clubman model is the only one that allows an all-wheel drive upgrade.
Mini is also being offered as the Seven special edition which uses new exterior and interior colors inspired by the first generation Mini. Color choices available are pepper white, midnight black, British racing green and Lapisluxury blue. The Seven Special Edition uses an 18-inch Mini Yours Vanity Spoke Wheel valued at $500. The Cooper Hardtop models can be opted for an increased cost of $2,500 from the base price while the Cooper S Hardtop is priced $2,000 higher than the base model.
