2017 Peugeot 3008 Is Coming To Australia In 2017

The next generation 2017 Peugeot 3008 is ready to hit showrooms in 2017.

The model is specific to the region and will have many features geared towards satisfying buyers in Australia.

The latest range of vehicles in the Peugeot 3008 series is set to be powered by Euro 6 powertrains. The models will use a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine and the optional choice would be a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. The powertrains are reserved for specific trimline models. We don’t have the company’s word on the actual horsepower and torque capacity rendered by these engines. They could announce it close to the release date.

There is no official confirmation but based on the fact that the 2.0-liter diesel engine is being used, it is expected that the 3008 GT sports edition could makes it way to the Australian region. Buyers are keen on getting their hands on one and this could be the right time to debut the model along with the 2017 Peugeot 3008 base edition.

The car is built on the EMP2 platform which is already being used by the Citroen C4 Picasso and the Grand C4 Picasso. General manager of Peugeot, Kai Bruesewitz said that they have planned to launch multiple models in 2017. The 2017 Peugeot 3008 is just the first of many and most of the cars scheduled to get launched next year are going to meet the constant demands of buyers in Australia.

“We are looking forward to create a stronghold for the brand in Australia. The 3008’s launch mark the beginning of a series of launches. We are preparing to launch two more models by the end of this year and probably another two next year,” he said.

Facelifted version of the 208 and 508 are expected to be announced in a couple of months. Peugeot might pick one of the popular auto shows slated to take place before the end of this year. There is no word on the pricing of the upcoming 2017 Peugeot 3008. We are yet to know the actual powertrain used in the car, dashboard features, safety add-ons and other details.
