The Geneva Motor Show 2016 is going to be the biggest event of the year one more time with all the top manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Ford, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen among everyone else making their presence felt. The event is scheduled to take place on March 1st.
The list begins with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta which will be offered in seven different variants with the 1.6-liter JTDm diesel engine model as the prominent one. The pictures showcase an extremely stylish saloon and it might be the ticket to glory that Alfa Romeo has been looking forward to for a long time.
Then, we have the Alpina B7 with an extremely powerful 4.4-liter V8 engine one the inside. The car is expected to rival the BMW 7 series and an official teaser video has shown how it will look on road. It is going to be a valuable addition to the BMW cars but built by Alpina using their own proprietary technology.
Renault on the other hand is building and revamping their Alpine Vision Concept car. The car has a long body design with a bigger front area similar to Porsche cars. The brand aims to take down the 2017 Porsche Cayman but it is not an easy task because of the strong fan base the company has. If Alpine gets everything right, it might dilute the market and grab sales from buyers who are looking for worthy Porsche alternatives.
Any motor show is never complete with a huge hyper car hogging the limelight. This year, at the Geneva show, it is probably the Arash F10. The car boasts of an unbelievable horsepower of 2080 HP and has a top speed of 200 miles per hour. It easily drifts from being stationary to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds, designed to beat the records on almost any track. It is expected to cost 1 million UK pounds, a car worth drooling over.
Apart from the new brands and makeovers, there are many known launches from top players. Aston Martin is coming with its DB11 after a long break featuring a 5.2-liter V12 engine while Audi has its Q2 SUV and the RS Q3 performance variant. Bentley Mulsanne is getting a facelift with better legroom, cargo area and a model with four rear seats.
The maker of hypercars, Bugatti is gearing up to launch the new Chiron following the hugely successful Veyron. With 1479 horsepower and a top speed of 270 miles per hour, it is obviously a beast on wheels. We will be bringing more updates once the show commences next week.
