The 2015 Tokyo Motor Show is scheduled to take place on October 29. With just weeks to go to the event, every top car manufacturer, including Nissan, Toyota and Suzuki is gearing up to showcase their best creations.
While the consumer market expects the makers to come up with real cars, the motor shows are dedicated to concept cars and new technology. In the traditional culture of car expos, the Tokyo Motor Show will also play host to these car makers who are set to showcase radical concept vehicles on stage. Nissan will be showcasing their Teatro, which is quite ambitious, because the car allows you to share content by using the touchscreen windows as well as modify the interiors with the touch of a button.
The Nissan vehicle is definitely not going to turn into a submarine as it does in James Bond movies, but we expect it to have customized lighting, seating system combined with digital interiors, where the users have the power to change the looks on the windows, which will also double up as LED displays. Going against them will be Suzuki’s own Impreza, the Ignis and the Mighty Deck. They will also have the Air Triser in the display.
On paper, Suzuki has multiple cars set for a grand reveal at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. However, big players like Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volkswagen have an equally impressive line-up. The information is being kept secret at the moment so as to keep the surprise factor intact.
Toyota will showcase the Kikai, FCV Plus and the S-FR concept cars at the motor show. The Kikai is expected to be displayed in a transparent design so that car enthusiasts could enjoy the beauty of the internal components. The FCV Plus is a concept car powered by hydrogen while the S-FR is a budget friendly sports car which will fall under the GT86 in terms of features and pricing.
The list of cars scheduled to be showcased at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show is one of the largest we have seen in recent times. From the way things are going, it is evident that the Asian expo is going to give a tough competition to the immensely popular Frankfurt auto expo. Once the event begins, towards the end of this month, we will be able to grab hold of interesting launches and official data from the manufacturers. Stay tuned for more updates.
