The vehicle has been built from scratch to resemble everything that is associated with the British secret agent’s. The manufacturer confirmed that only 150 of such vehicles will be manufactured and sold to consumers. The limited numbers ensure the exclusivity that buyers crave for.
The James Bond Edition of DB9 GT will be available in a ‘Spectre Silver’ paint which is the single color option that one has to opt for to get that authentic feel. A similar paint is used in the DB10 in the movie, but this is the one that can help you get as close as possible to the Bond feel. The vehicle is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine and most of the hardware specifications remain the same, except for the exterior modifications.
A “007 Bond Edition” badging can be found on the rear and the front of the car, but they are discrete so as to create the right impression among onlookers. On the inside, the same special edition logo is embroidered on the gun barrel metal over the seat divider. An interesting addition found in the DB9 GT limited edition car is that it’s AMi II infotainment system has been custom modified and will have a unique Bond version start-up screen.
While a driver may not be able to summon attack choppers or speak to M using the system, it does give them an authentic experience of driving a Bond car. The vehicle packs in a couple of accessories which is a neat move by Aston Martin. A Globe Trotter trolley casing that’s of 21 inch size is bundled with the vehicle’s boot and the buyers also get an Omega Seamaster wristwatch.
The special 150m Bond watch, is a Limited Edition and has an exclusive strap from Aston Martin which cannot be found in the conventional Seamaster Aqua Terra Models. With such exquisite add-ons, an increased price tag is obvious. The 007 Bond Edition DB9 GT from Aston Martin will set you back by $237,007 which is a premium price tag that only elite owners could afford.
