Audi RS 7 Performance and S8 Plus Launching in the U.S. Soon

When Audi launched the RS 7 Performance and the S8 Plus in Europe, the brand representative commented that they do have plans to bring it to the United States.

Within a month since its official launch, the automobile manufacturer is all set to bring the cars to the U.S. soil. The Audi RS 7 Performance is a premium sedan with a powerful 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine. The engine renders a solid 605 horsepower which is much higher than the basic RS 7 edition which delivers 560 horsepower. According to the official statement, the car can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds. The original model does the same in 3.9 seconds.

On the other side, we have the Audi S8 Plus car which is powered by a similar engine that delivers over 600 horsepower and can easily accelerate to a speed of 62 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds. While the official reports claim this speed, on road test showed that it can do the same in 3.5 seconds without any custom modification.

Some of the new additions found in the next gen S8 Plus apart from the powerful engine includes a rear spoiler made of lightweight carbon fiber, stylish black grille and a couple of other upgrades. The specifications are for the international version of the car while the U.S. version might vary. We can confirm it only when Audi makes the official announcement at the Los Angeles Auto Show scheduled to take place next week.

In a new statement, Audi revealed that they are all set to launch a new R8 as well. The company claims that it is the most powerful and the fastest car in their history. It is not easy to make such a claim because the brand is known for some of the best cars and a new one that could beat previous records should be groundbreaking history.

On paper, the rumored R8 2017 will be on par with the performance of a Lamborghini Huracan. The car is equipped with a V10 5.2-liter engine which delivers 540 horsepower. The R8 V10 Plus model is much powerful than the Huracan as its tweaked engine delivers a much higher 602 horsepower.
