BMW M3 30 Jahre Launched To Commemorate Its 30th Year

BMW is celebrating its 100 years of making cars in a grand manner and in between the celebrations they have also managed to find time for its M3 brand which completes its 30th year since launch.

The brand showed off an amazingly innovative concept car to make its 100th anniversary but the M division went a step ahead to commemorate their 30 years. The team has launched a M3 30 Jahre limited edition car. Only 30 of them will be sold in the UK and it is obvious that they will be building a total of 100 or so cars so as to keep it as exclusive as possible. The car is priced at £82,675 which is a premium price tag that just can’t be managed by most buyers. The model is obviously a luxury variant boasting of the best performance on road and some of the unique components to commemorate the occasion.

The BMW M3 30 Jahre edition is powered by a 3.0-liter straight six-engine which is capable of delivering a total of 444 horsepower. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.0 seconds. It is also equipped with the competition package which brings in a hoard of new content including updated dampers, springs, anti-roll bars and three different modes to choose from. The three modes are Sport +, Sport and Comfort, each one of them offers the best of comfort or performance, as the user wants it to. A new active differential and skid control system is also part of the package to offer increased safety.

Inspired by the M4 GTS, the wheels used in the M3 30 are made of star spoke alloy and has high glossy exterior finish. The special edition badge reads 30 Jahre and the mirror caps found in the car is secured with carbon fiber materials. A similar material is used on the rear diffuser, rear spoiler and the splitter. Apart from these additions, the engineers have added a new color variant exclusive for customers in the United Kingdom. Buyers can choose to go for the frozen silver metallic variant if they find it attractive.

Above all, a number badging is found in the interior which lists the cars position from 1 to 30 to show where it stands. The limited edition sports seats are designed to offer the best comfort coupled with Merino leather trim and Alcantara leather covering on the steering wheel. The car uses carbon ceramic brakes, LED lights and is powered by seven speed dual clutch DCT gearbox system.
