The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th anniversary edition is official. The car is all-black and is a special edition model designed to commemorate the variants successful run throughout the decades.
In order to make the color tone look tone, they have opted for a unique nightfall gray which obviously looks like black at first look.
The 50th anniversary limited edition model will hit stores this summer. There will be two different variants available on launch – the 2LT and the 2SS coupe as well as convertible models. The car features 20-inch wheels and the nightfall gray color is appropriately accentuated with mild orange stripe. The interiors feature the same color pattern with orange stitching restricted to the sides of the seats. A unique grille with satin chrome accents and orange brake calipers are exclusive components of this special edition.
Special edition owners can boast a bit in a subtle manner with the help of the 50th anniversary edition logo carved on various spots in the car. The logo can be found on the steering wheel, seatbacks and the door sill plates are illuminated for easy recognition in the dark. Another new ‘Fifty’ badge can be found on the front wheels, on the right side of the taillights and around the wheels’ bowtie.
The Camaro is easily one of the best cars in Chevrolet’s lineup and it has won several awards in the past. The 2016 edition of the vehicle won the best car of the year from multiple vendors. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine which delivered 455 horsepower coupled with 455 lb feet of torque.
It is powered by a six speed manual transmission system and can touch 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4 seconds. As expected, the new generation Camaro features a more powerful engine and the total weight of the car has been cut down in order to favor increased speed as well as aerodynamics. It has also contributed to better handling and control over the vehicle even when it is racing at its top speed.
The official pricing for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th anniversary edition is yet to be announced. The automobile manufacturer confirmed that it will be very close to the pricing of the conventional models so as to allow buyers to go for it if they choose to. The dark gray finish combined with the badging and the improved interiors make it a true collector’s choice.
