Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback is Coming to U.S. this Fall

The Chevrolet Cruze hatchback is coming to the Detroit Auto Show 2016 edition. Even before its official launch, it has been confirmed that the vehicle will be coming to the United States this fall season.

The five door Cruze hatchback 2017 is the edition that the buyers are looking forward to. It introduces a bundle of new features for the first time and adds some amazing functionality. The biggest of them all is the 42 cubic feet of cargo space available. For people who go on long trips or those who need space to fill stuff up, it is a welcome addition, especially when the car is designed to hold five passengers at once.

In terms of design, the upcoming Cruze sedan will be much robust, because of the type of material used to construct it. However, the team has kept the weight of the car at the low end to make it lighter. It leads to better handling, top speed and increased fuel efficiency. All these features make it an amazing commuter’s vehicle.

The Chevrolet Cruze hatchback 2017 features the same wheelbase as sedans and will be available in four different trim line variants on launch. They are the L, LS, LT and the Premier variants. The five door model is however restricted to the LT and Premier variants.

A 1.4-liter turbocharged inline four-engine will be powering all the versions of the vehicle. It renders 153 horsepower and has 177 pound feet of torque. The car will support both Android Auto and Apple Car Play which is becoming the standard infotainment system used by most vehicles.

Companies like Ford and Toyota are trying their best to go away from the technology companies from supplying systems for their cars. They have launched their own technology but, it is not being adopted by everyone else at the moment.

Official pricing of Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback is not known at the moment as the company is gearing up for the grand launch at the Detroit Auto show. It won’t be long before we have a word on the same. For now, we can assume the price tag based on the existing sedan LT which is at $21,995, while the Premier is priced at $23,995.

Meanwhile, the company has also launched a more efficient version of their Bolt electric car with amazing mile range and a price tag that will be affordable for most buyers. Analysts predict it could give Tesla a tough competition in the budget segment.
