Elon Musk Confirmed Tesla Model 3 will be $35,000 on Launch

The news is not new, but Elon Musk, CEO of the Tesla Company has confirmed one more time that the upcoming cheaper electric car named the Model 3 will be priced at $35,000 on launch, without including taxes.

With most countries including the US, UK and Europe providing special tax discounts for these cars, the Model 3 might be much lower and highly affordable for the average buyer. Besides, by opting for the car, they save the planet by reducing emission, besides saving a lot of money spent on gasoline. It’s a win-win situation for everyone which is what Musk wants people to enjoy and to change the automobile industry for good.

Tesla Model 3 Rumour

Talking about the car to an automobile magazine, he said that the Model 3 from Tesla will debut on March 31st with minimal details available. Pre-production for the car will begin this year but it won’t reach the stores until 2017. The car will probably reach the United States in 2018 or a bit earlier, which the manufacturers are not sure about.

Elon Musk said that even though the entire team is excited to show the world what they have built in these years, they are not sure whether this is the right time to talk everything about the car, all at once. They are discussing the possibility of revealing parts of the model, its specification and pricing while keeping some aspects concealed, so that it is a worthy launch two years later.

However, there is also a discussion that suggests that by showcasing more about the Tesla Model 3, the company can withhold potential buyers from going for an electric car. Most who are ready to make the switch and rely upon a battery to help them reach places might choose to wait for the launch. With the right pricing, this could be the best car around.

The CEO of the company confirmed that they are keen on introducing new technologies in their vehicles, but they don’t want to delay production as it happened with Model X SUV. Despite being one of the most popular models available and a successful electric SUV, it was delayed multiple times before it was finally delivered to those who pre-ordered it. Model 3 will take a more grounded approach to roll out the car first, before focusing on bringing modern features to it.

Tesla has learned a lot of things and it will be implemented in the budget EV.
