Jennifer Lawrence, the 25-year-old Hunger Games star, and Amy Schumer, the 34-year-old Trainwreck star, are amalgamating their writing skills to create a new movie.
Jennifer Lawrence said in an interview to the New York Times that they have almost completed co-writing the screenplay for the new film in which the two stars are to play the roles of siblings.
Lawrence confirmed the news of the collaboration to the New York Times in which she was all praise for her writing partner. She and Amy were ‘creatively made for each other’ and the writing simply ‘flowed out’ of them, the star mentioned in the interview. Describing their collaborative writing routine, the Hunger Games actress said that they start off the day on the phone laughing and then send written pages to each other. ‘And we crack up,’ Lawrence told the New York Times. It was a fun experience for her and between them they almost have about hundred written pages.
Half-way through the interview, Jennifer sent a message to Schumer saying that she has let the little secret between them slip to the New York Times. ‘Is that Ok?’ she seems to have asked. She is flying to Chicago to meet up with Amy Schumer. They are planning to write a little bit along with Amy’s sister Kim, who had worked with Amy on the screenplay for ‘Trainwreck’.
This ‘partnering for a new movie’ news comes close on the heels of a vacation that both the actresses had on Martha’s Vineyard along with a few of Amy’s very close friends. Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she sent Amy an email after watching Trainwreck. In the mail, she is supposed to have said that she is in love with Amy for her work. The emails continued between the newfound friends and then they started texting each other and seemed to have really hit off together. Subsequently, the celeb-friends’ picture of water-skiing together went viral with the social media fans going crazy over it.
So this news of working together for an upcoming film is creating a flutter among the fans. Although the plot of the movie is yet to be revealed, Amy’s writing skills, which made ‘Trainwreck’ a hit, combined with Jennifer Lawrence’s skills, the collaboration is expected to create nothing short of an epic, her fans anticipate.
