The Lamborghini Centernario Roadster is a crowd puller without a doubt.
The pictures released from Monterey confirmed that the car looks like no other in person and has managed to make the public go awe with its sleek finish.
Lamborghini proudly unveiled the roadster variant of their popular supercar. The pricing of the model would make most common people faint but for the elite few, the model is priced at $2.6 million and is already sold out. The coupe version is priced slightly lower than the Roadster at $2 million.
The one that found its way to the Monterey auto show was painted Argento Centernario, a color variant that Lamborghini engineers have specifically created for the roadster variant. The car uses Pirelli pZero tires. The front tires are 20-inches in size while the rear aluminum wheels are equipped with much bigger 21-inch tires. A luxurious finish can be witnessed in the interiors of the Lamborghini Centernario Roadster.
Inlets of the car use bianco bipolar leather material. They are from Alcantara and the brown leather is also used for stitching and piping. The infotainment system used in the Roadster version is easily one of the biggest in recent times. It uses a 10.1-inch display that readily provides information on speed, distance covered, satellite navigation and other data.
The system also supports Apple Car Play allowing iPhone, iPad users to connect their device to the car. The model uses a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine which is already being used in the coupe version. The powertrain should be capable of producing the same 759 horsepower and 508 lb feet of torque if not higher output with the Roadster version. The car can go from being stationary to 62 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds. It is easy to beat most records with such speed and a top speed pegged at 217 mph.
When you pay more than $2 million to own the car, it’s no surprise to know that the Lamborghini Centernario Roadster can be customized to a color you like, use special components and carbon fiber upgrades if you please. The company has confirmed that only twenty such cars will be made and they have managed to sell them all already.
Lamborghini added that deliveries for those who purchased the car will begin next year. They will also build 20 copies of the Centernario Coupe and both will be delivered during the same period to their respective buyers.
