The Geneva auto expo 2017 edition is underway where Lamborghini Huracan Performante was unveiled.
The car’s lightweight compared to the previous model, is much faster and hogged the limelight at the show easily because it’s a Lambo right?
Fast cars, super cars and autonomous cars! Everything you need as an automobile enthusiast is here at the Geneva show where more practical commuter models to the highly ambitious Toaster like autonomous vehicles are being showcased. The Huracan Performante is a track focused, high performance model which has already set a new record in the Nurburgring track.
At the 2017 Geneva auto show, the new car sporting carbon fiber and aluminum construction materials was displayed. The model is at least 40 kilograms less than the last car which also allowed it to experience best aerodynamics and complete the track in lesser time. The car is equipped with front and a really large rear wing with additional vents. It keeps the engine cool at all times and keeps the Lamborghini’s temperature under control.
The original V10 naturally aspirated engine has been retained in the new Huracan Performante but it has been tweaked in such a way that it produces 631 horsepower with 600 Nm of torque now. The previous model produced 601 horsepower and this is a minor yet noticeable improvement in overall performance. The car has great acceleration as it can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a short 2.9 seconds. It’s once again quicker as the standard edition achieves the same in 3.2 seconds. The acceleration works even at 124 mph as it touches the speed in 8.9 seconds. The top speed of the car is pegged at 200 miles per hour.
A unique Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) downforce system is introduced in the car to keep it’s top speed under control yet the Huracan Performante shows no sign of stopping. It features a fully revised suspension system, tuned four wheel drive setup and uses Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires in the 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior is filled with Alcantara leather seats, carbon fiber trimming and sports seats to signify that it’s a track focused model. The digital cockpit displays all the information including detailed performance data.
Buyers of the vehicle will be able to customize their vehicle as they please. The base model is priced at £210,000 including taxes and customization will cost extra.
