Just a year ago, Lamborghini confirmed that they have planned to expand the Huracan line up with new cars. The auto brand has kept their words and is ready to launch the Superleggera.
The car was spied testing in the ring and all hands point to the model being added to the series. It won’t be surprising if the Huracan becomes bigger than the Gallardo series in the near future. While it is still in its early production stages and heavily camouflaged, we still could make out the outline design and confirm that it belongs to the Huracan family.
It was spotted tested in the Nurburgring track. Lamborghini has not officially confirmed that they would use the name Superleggera for the car. However, it has been confirmed based on how the company names their cars one after the other. It allows them to keep it on par with the Gallardo history. Compared to the earlier models available in the Huracan series, the new Superleggera definitely stands out of the crowd.
The rear wing is really big and it has been fixed in a static position. The front spoiler is quite aggressive. Cars from a brand like Lamborghini doesn’t have to struggle to get that coveted sporty look because they belong to the enthusiastic category for a long time. All their models look sharp, aggressive. The only thing they have to do is differentiate their models from one another while maintaining the proprietary design in them all. With the new spoiler and the rear wing, the car is expected to experience the best aerodynamics with amazing acceleration and top speed.
It is quite difficult to comment on the horsepower and the overall performance of the Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera at the moment. But, what we can confirm is the model is expected to be powered by a 5.2-liter V 10 engine which should probably deliver somewhere around 650 horsepower. A tweaked version of the engine will be used to boost its horsepower. The exhaust pipes are mounted higher to give it better ground clearance.
Most auto manufacturers have adopted the carbon fiber materials. It leads to great weight savings and when combined with the new components, buyers can expect significant increase in performance of the Huracan Superleggera. It is a coupe which may be followed by a Spyder and a Performante version in the near future. Further launches are based on what buyers need. The car might get launched before the end of 2016.
