Mazda 2 Red Edition Makes it More Appealing than Ever

Mazda has announced an exclusive Red Edition for the Mazda 2 supermini model. The new launch has a confirmed price tag and a release date.

It is going to hit dealership stores on September 1stand it will be extremely limited in numbers. The automobile manufacturer has decided to make just 400 of these Red edition models with a price tag of £14,995. Sticking true to the name, the edition features a soul red colored finish including the roof spoiler and the underskirt. The actual color of the car is snowflake white pearlescent and black mica. Buyers can choose between the two choices offered by the brand which will be contrasted by the red lining.

The package includes 15-inch alloy wheels which can be upgraded with a dark gunmetal finish if you are willing to spend £300 in addition to the actual pricing. The red paint is carried throughout the car including the seat trim, the door inserts, décor panel and knee panel inserts. All these new modifications are found in addition to the high kit level which is part of the SEL Nav trim. The particular trimline includes a seven-inch touchscreen display for easy entertainment, DAB cruise control, satellite navigation, air conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Mazda 2 Red Edition is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The particular powertrain is equipped with the exclusive SKYActiv-G technology which allows the buyer to experience the best of fuel efficiency and performance. It is capable of producing up to 89 horsepower. The fuel economy is at 62.7 miles per gallon.

There is no word on pre-orders for the Mazda 2 red edition yet. Being a limited edition model, it is expected to go out of stock real soon. If you are planning to buy one, it would be wise to put a word with the local dealer to let you know when it arrives. The actual release date is this September but sellers are limited to the stock they receive and there may not be a way to get it if it runs out.
