Design Edition is a range of models McLaren promotes that brings the best looking cars to the forefront. There are five different cars in the lineup, each one showcasing a unique combination of colors, materials, wheel sizes and custom designed interiors to go with the color choice. The configurator tool is part of the personalization package by McLaren which is around for quite sometime now. However, these designers are made by those within the company that makes them standard apart from the rest.

The 570s Design Edition 1 is the first car to be revealed. The base color of this model is the Vermillion Red which is equipped with diamond cut finish, five-spoke wheels, red brake calipers. The red undertone is duly contrasted by black stealth exhausts and a combination of red & black for the interiors. The insides of the car is exquisite where the team has used a generous combination of Nappa and Alcantara leather materials. The seats and leather zones are made using red Nappa while some areas features black Alcantara material.

The same finish is carried throughout the steering wheel, the dashboard and other prominent areas. It uses slate grey threads to stitch the corners for a complete finish. The red McLaren 570S is just one of many as four more models are scheduled to be revealed soon. They have a black, orange, white and grey color tones catering to buyers with specific taste. The Design Edition package is priced approximately about $10,500 over the model price but going with an individual package where you pick your own colors would cost much higher.
