Compared to the existing model, the upcoming Mercedes AMG C63 coupe will be priced at $10,000 more, but for the longtime customers of the series, this shouldn’t make much of a difference.
The Frankfurt auto expo is all set to take place in September. As the month is almost coming to a close, it is not just the fans and industry enthusiasts, but car manufacturers are also simply jubilant. They are prepping up some of their best cars so that they could showcase them during the show, prior to their official launch.
Among multiple vendors, Mercedes will be there (obviously!) to showcase their upcoming vehicles including the AMG C63 Coupe. The existing model will get a significant upgrade and will be launched in the middle of 2016. For untold reasons, the company has decided to skip a 2016 edition and is going to directly launch the 2017 version of the AMG C63 Coupe. The official pricing will vary based on the region you live in. However, it will be priced somewhere below the $70,000 mark.
While the existing model is at $63,925, the new one could be a bit higher at $65k to $68k, because of the improved features and materials integrated in it. The AMG version of the coupe will have significant changes in terms of exterior design when compared with the conventional model. It sports an exceptionally wide body with a domed hood and side panels exclusively designed for the AMG variant.
The base variant is the only model that buyers will be able to go for within the $70k mark. Every other model after that will be priced much higher. The increase is drastic when compared to the outgoing models available in the market today. The C63 is at $73,675 which will probably go up to $80,000 with the 2017 C63 S Coupe with a 503 horsepower engine.
In case, you find the upcoming models quite expensive when compared to existing models, it is wiser to purchase the ones available already. They could save you at least $5,000; even more. Besides, Mercedes confirmed that the new C63 is scheduled for a summer launch next year. People will be able to buy the existing models until local retailers run out of stocks.
The vehicles that you could go for at the same price tag and performance would be BMW M4, Audi RS5 among others from luxury brands. Mercedes is aiming to take down these rival models with their 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Coupe.
