New Variant of Range Rover Sport HST Delivers Enhanced Driving Experience: The Entire Sport Line-Up Upgraded

As part of Land Rover’s strategy to upgrade its entire spectrum of Range Rover Sport vehicles, the new and upgraded variant of Range Rover HST is all set to deliver an enhanced driving experience backed by its newly ameliorated 3l supercharged V6 petrol engine that promises 450Nm and 280kW which is 30kW more than the existing V6 model.

Innovative chassis settings combined with some excellent design features add to its performance capabilities and sporty profile.

The front and bonnet wing vents, fog lamp bezels and grille are all finished with a glossy black glaze. The ‘Range Rover’ lettering can be seen in strategic locations both in the rear tailgate and bonnet. The SUV features additional vent detailing on the bumpers and body-colored sculpted lower door panels. The red Sport badge in the rear complements the front wing vents HST badge. The exterior design leverages on a striking black theme to give the new Sports Utility Vehicle a bold and contemporary look.

The Santorini black roof, Stealth Pack Lamps featuring non-reflective surrounds on the front and rear and a matching black spoiler gives a distinctive style to the Range Rover Sport HST. The dark satin grey finish of the 21-inch alloy wheels accentuates both the stylish red brake calipers and the newly upgraded 20-inch brake discs. Optional 22-inch Stealth alloy wheels are also available.

The new Range Rover Sport HST comes with an inbuilt Terrain Response System featuring a Dynamic mode that maximizes the working of the various electronic components in the vehicle, including the Electric Power Assisted Steering and the suspension. This inbuilt Terrain Response setup offers a better responsive throttle pedal and more controlled electronic damping while also improving steering and gearshift responses.

The interior of the new HST features double-toned seats fitted with lavish Oxford leather, a contrasting fascia and the center-console, headlining and door trims all in Ebony create a vibrant and luxurious appearance. The upholstery comes in four different color/Ebony combinations and also in a full-Ebony option. The TFT instrument panel, the dashboards and the carpet mats all feature the HST badging further highlighting the vehicle’s opulent interiors. Other ‘sporty’ features of the newly upgraded SUV include the Noble-plated gear levers fitted on the steering wheel, the unique bright ‘Sports’ pedal and the texture of the aluminum interiors which enhances the ‘Sporty’ feel.

Other Upgrades across the Range Rover Sport Armory

Land Rover has included the All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) system on all the SDV8 variants. This system, nicknamed, ‘cruise control for off road’, allows the drivers to pre-set a speed as per their driving comfort between 1.8km/h to 30km/h. Then the driver would only need to give steering input. The ATPC takes over and optimizes drivetrain and traction settings, enabling effortless vehicle maneuverability even on very difficult terrain.

Other models in the Range Rover Sport line-up now feature a new, bolstered-up Surround Camera System which leverages on a high-resolution camera to deliver clearer and crisper graphics. The introduction of the Rear Junction View in this feature enhances rearward visibility, especially useful for reversing out from parking spots. The rear camera features an inbuilt washer jet to ensure clarity in all conditions and at all times.

Another innovative inclusion is the Gesture Tailgate which allows access to luggage area by the use of foot gestures. Sensors are provided in both the rear bumper enabling users to open the rear tailgate from either side of the vehicle. The Automated Access Height automatically reduces the height of the vehicle once it is parked. The vehicle can be lowered to a maximum of 50mm for more comfortable entry and exit and also for easier loading of materials in the rear.

Other personalization features include the availability of three new paint options and seven new interior color combinations. Extended leather is an optional feature now and SVR, HSE and HST models will all come with climate seats as standard henceforth. An optional Carbon Fiber Pack finished in high-gloss lacquer for the tailgate trim and side vents add to the sporty look of all the vehicles in the Range Rover Sport Line-Up.
