Infiniti has confirmed that the vehicle will be offered in a four-wheel drive model and there will be no other option to choose from. It will be made available in the European market within a month after the auto expo launch.

A lot of design elements and components from the Q30 is retained in the next gen QX model. The suspension has been increased by 30mm while the wheel is equipped with skid plates for maximum grip on road, even at top speed. The next gen Infiniti QX 30 is built on the MFA platform and is a direct rival to the likes of GLA, A-Class offered by Mercedes Benz.

Two different engine variants for the crossover has been confirmed so far. The 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 208 horsepower is one and the second is the 2.2-liter diesel engine which renders a 168 horsepower.

For now, there is limited information available about the crossover as Infiniti likes to keep things under cover so that they have some interesting facts to share on the show floor. The Geneva auto expo scheduled for the month of March is gaining traction every day as almost every big and small auto manufacturer from around the globe is readying their models.

We can see that this year will be dominated by plug-in hybrids and electric cars. While the EVs are going to see an actual launch in the next five years, the hybrids are much closer. Hybrid variants of some of the popular models including those from Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volkswagen will be out real soon in the next two to three years.

The Infiniti QX 30 will be manufactured at Nissan’s facility located in Sunderland. The company expects that a new range of SUVs will help them boost sales and reach the mass audience. With increased sales, they will make more revenue leading to better cars and a prestigious position in the automobile market.

CEO of the company, Roland Krueger confirmed that they are aiming at the family buyers who need a compact, yet spacious SUV, for their family members. It is supposed to offer the comfort of a sedan, be fuel efficient and provide enough headroom for multiple passengers. Achieving all at once will undoubtedly make the QX 30 a hit among buyers.
