Peugeot has announced two new special edition models.
They are expanding their lineup with a 108 TOP and the 208 Roland Garros.
As the name suggests, the 208 is designed inspired by the French Open Tennis tournament. The idea is to commemorate the grand success witnessed by Novak Djokovic. The 108 GT Line is however in the standard range yet is incorporated with many sporty components and additions to justify the special edition tag.
The 108 TOP Roland Garros model is powered by a 1.2-liter PureTech petrol engine. The pricing of the car has been confirmed to be £13,360in the UK region. It falls in the Allure trim level variant. Sports car lovers are sure going to appreciate the retractable fabric roof system used in the model. It uses 15-inch alloy wheels combined with tinted windows and LED daytime running lights. The Roland Garros exclusive badge is used in the front fascia so as to let onlookers know that you are driving an exclusive edition from Peugeot. The model has an exclusive color variant. The diamond white base color is contrasted by orange door mirrors as well as the wheel center caps.
Comfort features bundled in the 108 TOP special edition includes air conditioning system, electric mirrors, keyless entry, satellite navigation and an all-new dashboard with minute detailing. The safety kit adds active city braking to avoid collision, has lane departure warning and a reversing camera. It makes it much easier for people who find it hard to park the vehicle in tight spots.
The 208 Roland Garros is built on the same Allure trim but is sophisticated in terms of features and components. It has 16-inch alloy wheels with tinted windows, LED running lights and a panoramic sun roof. Buyers have the choice to choose from a Satin White color variant and the Nera Black. Leather two tone seats are part of the package which also includes DAB radio, satellite navigation and connectivity features. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather for complete comfort and control during long drives.
The 108 is equipped with a 1.2-liter PureTech engine with 108 horsepower and a 1.6-liter BlueHDi diesel engine with 98 horsepower. A manual transmission system is used in all models which can be upgraded to an automatic system if you prefer. The 108 GT versions make the car look sporty with 15-inch wheels, red badge, fog lights and black door mirrors. A red color scheme is maintained throughout the car which is priced at £12,760.
