The original edition was launched in the year 2012 and ever since then, Peugeot has managed to sell more than 360,000 units in emerging markets. The time has come to revamp it and majority of the changes can be witnessed in the front fascia of the model. The official logo which was earlier placed in the bonnet has now been moved to the assembly while the car features strikingly stylish headlights and new bumper. There is a sleek pair of LED daytime running lights. Some minor changes have gone into the rear lamps to make them slimmer yet sync with the overall car’s profile.

Design changes are evident in the interiors of the Peugeot 301 where buyers can choose to go with a dark or light color scheme as they prefer. The dark looks are rendered by the fabric trim named CranAdamantium. The infotainment system has received a notable upgrade with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It now supports Mirror Screen triple play connectivity, a concept that allows passengers to use Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link all at once. Navigation features are 3D powered by TomTom systems and there’s a reverse camera to make driving easier.

A brand new dash panel adorns the Peugeot 301 facelifted version with revamped air conditioning system, controls and the power window buttons which are now found in the center console. They are conveniently placed on both sides of the gear level making it easier to access, based on who needs to control the window. Under the bonnet, Peugeot offers four different powertrain options to choose from. There are two petrol engines and two diesel engine variants. The 1.2-liter PureTech 82 engine can offer up to 82 horsepower capable of generation 5,750 rpm. All the engines are mated to a five speed manual gearbox.

Safety features are plenty in the next gen 301 including front and side airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, emergency brake assist, ESP and ABS. There are three different color variants that the company plans to launch – the Deep Blue, Moka Grey and Artense Grey.
