Porsche 718 Boxster is Entirely with its Looks and Powertrain

Everything about the Porsche 718 Boxster is as new as it could get because the auto manufacturer has changed the name of the car, given it a completely new appearance while swapping the existing engine for a better own. What more could a buyer ask for?

Formerly known as the Porsche Boxster, the new Porsche 718 Boxster is the latest launch from the luxury car manufacturer. It was teased for a while in the past, but the company has now officially taken its wraps off the car and revealed its color variant as well as the powertrain used in it. The 718 Boxster is powered by the 2.0-liter turbocharged flat four engines.

They provide a total output of 296 horsepower and if you are not satisfied with it, there is the S variant. It is powered by a much better 2.5-liter petrol flat four engine which provides a much higher 345 horsepower. For a brand like Porsche, offering such speeds is really common, because the pricing of their cars are usually on the higher side. Buyers who wish to go for the basic model should shell out $59,742 while the better powered Boxster S will set one back by $72,561.

Even though, they are primarily sports cars with a sole priority of offering maximum speed, top acceleration and aerodynamics, Porsche engineers have looked into their fuel efficiency as well. The standard variant offers 41 miles per gallon which is a surprising mileage for a car from this class. It uses the PDK automatic gearbox system which is a proprietary design from Porsche.

Being extremely fast is another important sales point which the makers are aware of. The Porsche 718 Boxster can easily accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds which is an impressive feat while the pricier S model will do the same in just 4.2 seconds. After all, when paying a premium price, it is obvious that you would want it to go faster and always be ahead in the race.

In terms of style, the 718 now features bigger air intakes in the front, the LED strips are made thinner. The vents on the side are thinner, 19-inch alloy wheels increase aerodynamics and they have even made the door handles much more comfortable to use. The car supports all latest technology and has a surround sound system to keep you entertained while on the move.
