Subaru Outback Touring and Legacy Sport Trims Launched

Subaru has expanded their lineup by adding new trimline variants to their crossover and sedan models.

The 2017 version of these cars will be upgraded with brand new features to make it worthwhile for the buyers.

The update is being rolled out to the 2017 Subaru Outback and the 2017 Subaru Legacy Sport models. The car now uses a dark grey grille with accents of the same color and has 18-inch alloy wheels. Exterior changes found in the vehicle include outback badges made of chrome material, new lower body cladding, and silver finish on the rails. The auto manufacturer offers a brand new color variant for the car named the Brilliant Brown.

Changes made in the interiors comprise of leather trimmed seats. The Java brown leather adds a touch of exquisiteness to the car and it is duly contrasted with ivory stitching on all the required sports including the arm rests, the door panel and seats. The trim panels use woodgrain material while the switch panel features a piano black finish. On a comprehensive look, Subaru has opted for a luxurious finish to the car to make it appealing to the elite crowd.

Buyers can choose to upgrade the steering wheel with heated functionality if they like to. The car is equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen display powered by the StarLink 7.0 Multimedia navigation system. These features are available in the base model of the Outback touring. Powertrain options available in the car includes a 2.5-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine and a more powerful 3.6-liter Box six-cylinder engine. The former delivers a total output of 175 horsepower while the latter offers a total of 256 horsepower.

The 2017 Subaru Legacy Sport is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray front grille and black housing for fog lights. The interior of the car has dark grey and black finish which is contrasted with blue stitching on the steering wheel, seats and arm rests. It uses the same navigation system and the touchscreen controls.

Unique new additions found in the cars are the reverse automatic braking system and the high beam assist. With ultrasonic detection system, the car can automatically detect obstacles when reversing and stop it before a collision occurs. The high beam is automatically activated based on traffic conditions made to give the driver a better view of the road. The car is also equipped with the Eyesight technology to detect blind spots and rear cross traffic.
