At the Los Angeles auto expo, the Subaru VIZIV-7 concept SUV was revealed.

The auto brand confirmed that it is the largest car in their lineup and will go into production by 2018.

With two years to go, the SUV, we expect will be packed to the brim with best technology and safety features combined with a performance driven powertrain that matters. The concept model is literally large and can easily convince most people to go for it if space is all they need. Not many cars can boast of the headroom and legroom this mid-sized SUV offers. It has three full rows of seats and a seven-seater wagon is a rarity in this time of crossovers and compact cars.

The scenario has changed a lot and there is a huge demand for compact crossovers. However, in order to bank in on the sales, most automobile brands turned their attention towards the smaller SUVs. Subaru is interested in leaving their mark and the 4×4 VIZIV-7 has the potential to get the job done. The mid-sized SUV is much larger than what the company claims it to be. The concept model measures about 5,200mm in length, 1,860mm height and is 2,030mm in width. The dimensions are very much similar to the Range Rover Sport but the only difference is that the Subaru SUV has a smaller wheelbase measured at 2,990mm.

There is the Forester and the Outback in the UK region but the new SUV is not going to make its way to the region anytime soon. Instead, the company has planned to go with North America first before considering the possibility of expanding their horizons. The style quotient is evident in the car’s front fascia which sports Subaru’s newly introduced large, angular grille accentuated by C-shaped headlamps.

Carbon fiber cladding is found in abundance and it goes all the way up to the front bumper. The fog lamps and the LED daytime running lights are mounted on this cladding. The large posture of the car is party due to the large 21.-inch wheels and despite being sizeable in all areas, the Subaru VIZIV-7 concept manages to not look boxy and be stylish in its own way.

The production version of the car will be very close to the concept model displayed at the 2016 Los Angeles auto show. Subaru has found a sweet spot with an amazing car that’s so promising and we look forward to its 2018 launch.
