Mercedes-Benz-E63_AMG

With millions of fans who love the brand around the globe, it’s no wonder they prefer pampering some of their most wanted models.

The Mercedes Benz E63 AMG Edition, which is a significant upgrade over the conventional variant has now received another upgrade – brand new HRE Performance wheels.

If you think about budget and fuel efficiency when buying a Mercedes, you are probably in the wrong segment. The company rather caters to people who make no compromises, when it comes to comfort and luxury. The price of the basic variant of the E63 is high, but when you opt for the AMG edition, it will be much higher than the base price because of the upgraded parts found in the car. The new add-on obviously makes it pricier, but for the patrons who follow these models, it is never going to be a deal breaker.

The E63 is expected to go out of mainstream market real soon before which Mercedes Benz wishes to give it a sales boost. The HRE Performance wheel upgrade comes from a company which is best known for making three piece or one piece models forged out of aluminum alloy wheels. The team has come up with a brand new product, the P108 HRE ten spoke rim wheel which is now part of the Mercedes Benz E63 AMG Edition.

In order to showcase the peripheral, the brand has held an exclusive photo shoot. They have picked a remote spot which looks breathtakingly beautiful on the pictures. It has been perfectly captured in an evening when the sun was about to go down the horizon, but not before it could light up the saloon in beautiful angles. While the car features an exotic design, we just can’t stop praising the photographer who made it look extremely inviting.

The Mercedes Benz E63 AMG Edition is all set to receive an upgraded variant soon. We have had the chance to go through the spy shots that emerged recently. It looks decent with some minor modification, but is not as inviting as its predecessor. The spy shots were camouflaged. So, it’s good to reserve one’s judgment until a grand reveal takes place.

For buyers looking forward to enjoying the amazing performance combined with the best luxury add-ons in the world, the AMG edition of an outgoing model is a perfect choice, especially when it comes with performance upgraded HRE wheels.

2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris – Your Best Option for an Urban Van Arrives in the US

The German company is bringing the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris to the US market and has a simple strategy to entice buyers: the right size.

The 2016 Metris sits in between the Mercedes Sprinter and smaller vans from competitors like the Ford Connect. Even though the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris is larger than rival compact vans, it is still small enough to fit into urban city garages.

Mercedes is offering the 2016 Metris in several packages, including a cargo version and a passenger version. The cargo version has only two seats, behind which you can fit up to 2,502 pounds of cargo. The passenger version, on the other hand, has three rows of seats, able to fit seven or eight people and still leave enough space in the truck for suitcases and other storage. Judging by initial sales, Mercedes believes the 2016 Metris will be mostly used by travel agencies and fleets. However, the urban van is also a great option for those “soccer moms” that want something other than a minivan.

Since the 2016 Metris doesn’t have rear windows, the German company has made sure that the urban van is packed with several safety and parking sensors and features, starting off with the blind-spot warning system that helps drivers in parking, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris into urban garages.

Other safety features include crosswind assist, load-adaptive stability control, attention assist as standard features, and active parking assist, collision prevention assist, blind spot and lane keeping assist as optional features. As an optional feature, prospective buyers can also get parking sensors.

Going further, the 2016 Metris is the only cargo van in the US that has a self-parking feature. The car will indicate when it has found a parking spot and from there you can leave your van to control the steering wheel as you are navigating a parallel parking. The cabin is also much more luxurious when compared to rival vans. The 2016 Metris has the same steering wheel as the newest C-Class sedan and several other goodies.

Once you get the car in the open world, you will feel like you are driving a car, not a van. The 2.0-liter gasoline turbocharged engine produces 208hp and combined with a seven-speed automatic gearbox, the 2016 Metris offers respectable acceleration and quiet driving experience. Official numbers from Mercedes recommend service intervals after 15,000 miles.

The 2016 Mercedes arrives at dealerships in the US in October, with a starting price of $29,945 for the cargo van and $33,495 for the passenger van.

2016 Mercedes Benz E-Class Gets New Interiors Inspired by Their S-Class

Car enthusiasts were really curious to take a peek into the 2016 Mercedes Benz E-Class without a camouflage, which wasn’t possible until now.

The manufacturer has officially revealed the interiors of this most awaited car to the public and automobile enthusiasts. It looks like Mercedes was strongly inspired by their own S-Class line-up, because, a lot of features found in the E-Class resemble their other model. The positioning of the center console on the dashboard, combined with the heater as well as the air conditioning vents is very similar. However, these positions are familiar to the long time Mercedes owners and it is considered to be more ergonomic, which makes sense to adopt the same style in all their next gen models.

It is not just the interior that has changed in the Mercedes Benz E-Class variant, but the plug-in hybrid variant has received variations in its engine power as well. Buyers will be able to choose between three different models including a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine, which has an added advantage of an 82hp electric motor, as well as the 3.0 liter V6 engine which is supported by a much powerful 109hp motor.

The company didn’t discuss about the diesel, electric motor variant yet, but it is part of their launch line-up. The E-Class will also be the first in the series from Mercedes Benz which offers the V6 engine inline six cylinder models. With the increased power, drivers will be able to experience an amazing 313 horsepower made possible by the integrated double turbochargers. There will also be a variant which has six cylinders, with two of them being electric motors.

Mercedes has opted for all aluminum construction for the next gen E-Class, which displays significant reduction in weight and better stability on the road. While big brands are still busy launching plug-in hybrid models, Tesla has leaped to the newer generation electric vehicles. The newly launched Tesla Model X SUV is the first of its kind which boasts of towing capacity, great horsepower, 250 miles on a full charge and stylish falcon wing doors.

The company truly believes it will change the world of electric cars and Tesla is also gearing up to offer cheaper EVs in the next two years. With them going miles ahead, it is time now that Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW among everyone else, start thinking about innovation and adopt electric vehicles without being constrained to hybrids all the time.

PP-Performance Adds Power to Mercedes-AMG C63 and GT with no Physical Intervention

PP-Performance added power to the Mercedes-AMG C63 and GT with no physical intervention, thanks to the innovative ECU remapping capability of the new chip tuner.

The tuner’s inclusion boosts the power of the 4-L V8 engine taking the power of C63 S to 580 hp from 510 hp and Mercedes GT to a little less.

PP-Performance, an established German fine-tuning company catering to a wide range of premium brands such as Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and Skoda, has developed a tuner which has the capability of enhancing the output power of a couple of vehicles from Mercedes’ Affalterbach plant including the C63 and GT.

The tuner’s intervention comes in the form of ECU remapping of the 4-L V8 engine, resulting in an enhanced output of 580 hp from 510 hp for the C63 S. By including a catless exhaust, the output power can jump to 610 hp while a sports filter in the PP-Performance can increase the output further to 613 hp and a peak torque of 769 Nm as against the standard 510 hp and 700 Nm.

Hence, the C63 S can reach 0-62 mph in 3.59 seconds, about 4 seconds less than the original non-chip-tuned C63 S. The maximum speed is also increased to 190 mph from the original 155 mph. All this is achieved without any changes done to the physical aspect of the Mercedes C63 S and hence the price remains the same at about $6260.

The Mercedes-AMG GT S can get only the chip tuning and the catless exhaust and hence the power is lesser than that of the C63 S by 3 hp. Peak torque is also lower than that of C63 S by 4Nm though these small differences are hardly going to bring down the performance of the chip-tuned Mercedes-AMG GT S. The GT S takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-62 mph and the maximum speed is 201 mph and all this at the unchanged price of $6040.

The chip-tuning package is available for the Mercedes-AMG C63, C63 S, GT and GT S models although the performance enhancement is much higher for the S models.

2016 BMW 7 Series – Can BMW Beat Mercedes S-Class?

During the past several years, the Mercedes S-Class was the luxury sedan to beat. The flagship by Mercedes offered looks, power, luxury, comfort and technology inside.

But the new 2016 BMW 7 Series looks to finally get over the hump and be the rival that Mercedes deserves. In the past, the BMW 7 Series offered everything that Mercedes does, but without the technology and safety features of the S-Class.

Before we go into what makes the 2016 BMW 7 Series competent rival, we must mention that the Mercedes S-Class was lastly updated in 2013. The S-Class is due for freshening in 2016 or 2017, but for now, it looks like BMW has the flagship to beat.

The lineup of the Mercedes S-Class includes a base model producing 455hp with V8 engine, but also powertrains with V12 engine and more than 500 ponies under the hood. And while BMW has yet to announce a hybrid version of the 7 Series, Mercedes already has few plug-in hybrids in the range for the S-Class. However, we are talking about the technological aspect here and here is what separates the 2016 BMW 7 Series from the field.

Gesture Control

The highlight of the technology inside the new 7 Series is the gesture control feature. The goal is to help the driver control his vehicle while focusing on the road. At the moment, gesture control has five basic functions, including accepting and rejecting phone calls, raising and lowering volume and a 360 degree view of the vehicle. All commands are simple. For example, pointing towards the screen accepts a phone call, while a swiping movement rejects the call. Rotating your finger lowers or increases the volume. Pinch and move is the command for a 360-degree car view. The 360-degree view or also called 3D view camera is made possible by multiple sensors and cameras. With gestures, the driver can actually see every look around his car. The system can also provide the driver with real-time rendering images of the environment around the car.

Touch Command Tablet

Another handy tech goodie in the 2016 BMW 7 Series is the introduction of bespoke tablet. This option is only available for the Luxury Rear Seating package, designed especially for business class drive experience. The tablet can be used by voice commands and control the audio system, mood lighting, sunroof, internet connectivity and much more.

Exercise and vitality program

We still do not know who will use this option, but it’s nice to have it. Thinking about the health and wellbeing of its passengers, the command tablet of the rear seats includes a vitality program that can transform the 2016 7 Series into a personal gym. This option is available with the “Rear executive lounge seating package” option, which guides the passenger through several isometric exercises that help people improve their health and stature. The exercises are presented on a large, 10 inch entertainment touchscreen display. All the exercises can be performed in the car.

NFC Technology

Apple made a huge breakthrough last year by introducing NFC technology as part of the iPhone 6. Now, car makers are trying to catch up and BMW is the first one to install NFC technology into the new 2016 7 Series. With a simple click and tap, you can connect your device to the car.

2016 Mercedes C-Class Coupe – 503hp Luxury Coupe on a Budget Breezes in Frankfurt

First things first, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is arguably the best small, sports and luxury coupe on the market. Why do we say that? The reason is that for a C-class price, you are getting the S-class style and luxury.

Mercedes showed its new 2016 C-class coupe at Frankfurt Motor Show in the best model possible. Fans and prospective buyers were able to see the AMG C63 version of the coupe at Frankfurt and it is impressive.

What Mercedes has done with the new C-class is impressive. Same as with the C-class sedan, the 2016 Mercedes C-Class coupe has the same look as the more expensive and luxurious S-Class. The difference is that the C-class coupe comes at a more affordable price.

From an exterior standpoint, you get the same sophisticated front fascia with horizontal taillights, slim and sleek look and lines of the S-class coupe.

Once inside, you get the same cabin of the S-class, as Mercedes is putting leather-heavy styling inside and aluminum finishing. The upmarket dashboard is the central element of the inside, accompanied by a flat-bottomed steering wheel. At the top of the dash, drivers get a prominent display with lots of controls and commands.

Under the hood, the 2016 C-Class coupe will be powered by the same engines as the four-door twin brother in the C-class. The entry model is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Additional options include twin-turbocharged V6 engine and the range-topper C63 AMG. The AMG version is powered by 503 ponies under the hood. The 4.0-liter V8 engine can sprint from 0 to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, all this, while the top speed is limited to 155mph. For those who want to experience extra speed, Mercedes offers the option to enhance the upper limit to 180mph, for a price of course.

The standard drive system for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe is rear wheel drive; however, the all-wheel drive 4Matic is also available as an optional system. Automatic transmission gearbox with seven speeds is the standard option for transmission.

The 2016 C-Class coupe is expected at car dealerships in March 2016. The basic version is priced at $90,000. For the AMG C63 touring, fans can expect a raise of up to $4,000, while the range toping S trimming with 503hp costs $107,000.

Next Generation 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Will Look and Feel Premium

Mercedes-Benz is already working on a new 2016 E-Class model that should debut early in 2016. Up until now, nobody outside of Mercedes-Benz knew how the car would look or what the performances will be.

However, a rendered image, courtesy of RM Design shows what might be in store for the next generation of the E-Class. Take the picture with a grain of salt, as nothing is certain. However, some features are already rumored, as well as the possible engines and performances of the car.

Let’s start from the design that will experience some changes and tweaks. We have previously seen some of the spy shots of the new E-class. The pictures clearly show resemblance in the lines to the already announced C and S class. The 2016 E-Class will ride on the same MRA platform that has a goal to increase the size and lose weight. Expect the next generation of the sedan to be bigger, but lighter.

When it comes to the power and performance, rumors are that the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will offer several engines. Some of the new units that experts believe will make its way to the E-class are the 2.9 liter V6 diesel engine that produces 313hp and a 400hp quad turbocharged engine.

Some of the biggest strengths of the upcoming E-Class are in the field of technology. The next generation should make the driving experience as comfortable and as luxurious as possible. The 2016 E-Class will feature several technologies that will make the driving experience semi-autonomous.

The biggest innovation is the “Car-to-X” feature, a new communication system that Mercedes-Benz has developed for communication between vehicles. The idea behind the system is that it should reduce the risk for collision, especially at junctions and around tight bends. The system will vastly improve the driving experience when visibility of traffic is reduced.

The next generation of the luxury sedan should also incorporate a number of sensors that will improve safety, starting from a stereo camera facing forward, as well as rear and side camera sensors. The company will also install the Intelligent Drive System into the E-Class. The system ensures that the vehicle is always at an appropriate distance, even when driving up to 200km/h. Other safety measures include the Active brake Assist system and the Evasive Steering Assist technology. The brake system helps with braking whenever the system detects slow moving traffic. The steering assist technology, on the other hand, completely takes control of the car when the system notices a pedestrian.

Regarding the release date, initial reports are that the E-Class could make its debut in January, during the NAIAS show. However, we can never be certain and considering that the vehicle is still early in development, the scheduled date might be delayed a month or two.

Mercedes Maybach S600 by Brabus Touted to Break all Speed Records Despite its Heavy Build

The new Mercedes Maybach S600 is one of the safest cars according to the company and they have also tweaked it in a way that it is as fast as the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Considering the slim and lightweight design of the Spyder, it might sound awkward to compare its speed with the new Maybach which features a heavy build. But, a lot of tweaking and tuning has gone into the vehicle to ensure it is not only a luxury behemoth, but is also capable of offering speed on par with the top sports models available in the consumer market.

After some in-depth tuning by Brabus, the car will offer a massive 1,106 pound feet and can easily touch a speed of 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds. The German tuner who is known for this impressive work on luxury cars had invested enough time to find ways to tweak the V-12 6.0 liter engine to a 6.3 liter engine. Most car mechanics would be intimidated by the build and the engineering that goes into this vehicles. However, Brabus is not someone who easily backs off. Besides, he caters to customers who just wouldn’t settle for less.

There is no need to purchase the Mercedes Maybach S600 and bring it to him, but rather customers around the globe can buy the Brabus Rocket 900 tuning package. While it is obvious that if you live in Germany or anywhere close by his store, you could directly visit the venue to get the new upgrades attached to the vehicle. For everyone else, this is the best option to go for.

The impressive top speed is accomplished with the help of boosting the engine displacement, a traditional method that has been tried and tested by many tuners. A custom made billet crankshaft is combined with larger cylinder bore and longer strokes are used in it. It is also integrated with the precision balanced connecting rods and unique pistons that are forged to match this new setup. Apart from these, the team has also improved the vehicle with bigger turbochargers and bigger pipes that favor an easy exhaust system to balance the increased load.

A custom body kit, tires and interiors can be supplied if the customer wishes to, confirmed Brabus. Speed lovers may not go for a Mercedes Maybach S600, but for those who do; this custom kit seems to be the best option to go for.

2016 Mercedes Maybach S600 is Lavishly Luxurious with a $200,000 Price Tag

There is nothing called too much of luxury, right? Wrong! For the common buyer who commutes using his vehicle, luxury is an automotive drive and some additional features like leather seats to make the ride comfortable.

For the unapologetically rich people, it’s all about getting more value for what they pay. In this perspective, the $200,000 Mercedes Maybach S600 offers great value for money because it has so many flamboyant features that you will soon lose count of them. Everything from the seats to the engine and the tires speak of exquisiteness that it is not for the faint-hearted.

Luxury car manufacturers Rolls Royce and Bentley focus on the pricey segment, whereas Mercedes, which has reduced the price of the Maybach by half with its latest edition, has created a new segment. It is for the buyers who have outgrown the BMWs and the Audis, but aren’t too picky to go for a Rolls Royce.

In many aspects, the car resembles a limousine and people like to call it as the ‘mini limo’ which is obvious from its lengthy design and appearance. The car is powered by a 6.0 liter V 12 bit turbo engine. It is capable of delivering 523 horsepower with 612 pf of torque which allows the driver to reach from 0 to 60 in just 5 seconds. Given the massive weight of the luxury car at 5269 pounds, it is such a miracle that it could achieve so much speed in such less time.

A Quiet Beast

As the manufacturer claims, the Mercedes Maybach S600 2016 edition is one of the quietest cars in the world and is exceptionally smooth even when it bumps against uneven crates on the road. The vehicle also bundles leather pillows for passengers to fall asleep in a cozy manner. A 1-inch thick carpet made out of sheep skin is used on the floor while all seats are made using espresso nappa leather.

A surprising feature found in the new Maybach is its four leather seats, which also offer masseuse services for the riders. There are six different massage variants to choose from and you can also change the interior lights to suit the mood. It offers seven different colors from moonlight blue to wood trim. Additional features include rear consoles to provide the riders with information, a champagne cooler and forged alloy wheels. The last two features add up to the total cost of the vehicle.

Safety features available in the vehicle include automatic braking system, lane switching, adaptive cruise and huge air bags on all sides.
