2022 BMW M2 Spy Shots Are In: Photos & Specs are Here

2022 BMW M2

The 2022 BMW M2 which was kept under wraps for a very long time has finally been revealed, not officially though.

We have managed to grab some spy shots of the car along with a slew of information that should keep the BMW lovers glued to it until the manufacturer is ready to make the announcement.

We still have a full year before the M2 hits dealership because the vehicle is slated for launch in 2022. The BMW M2 Coupe directly competes with the likes of Audi TT RS and Porsche Cayman, with all these cars being designed for those sports car lovers. The newest model will also retain some of the basic elements that made the original so popular and will retain the rear-wheel driving system. It will be powered by a straight-six petrol engine mated to a manual gearbox in the entry-level edition but most buyers may opt for the higher-end automatic gearbox variant.

With the overall design and body of the M2 under wraps, we couldn’t fully make out how the different aspects of the car have been designed. While it does look like the 2 Series edition, the lower front splitter combined with the diffuser and the quad exhaust confirms that the elements that make an M2 the best in the lot have been meticulously retained. The flared wheel arches further provide it an aggressive finish which buyers have come to love over the years and it is being built on top of the proprietary CLAR platform.

In terms of technology, the 2022 BMW M2 may not be entirely different from other cars further higher in the line-up. Going on par with the M3 and the M4, it will be equipped with stability control technology, brake discs, calipers and adaptive dampers. All these things combined together often make up for the BMW experience but some of the credits should obviously go to the unique design that has been in vogue for decades now.

Powertrain Details

While we couldn’t confirm it officially, the BMW M2 edition will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine which is already being used in the BMW M3. The overall capacity of the engine is expected to be at 420bhp. The newest model will be launched in the UK first before it is made available in other regions. The customization option is expected to be higher in this region before it moves onto Europe and other parts of the globe to offer a similar but powerful experience one would expect from a sporty variant like the BMW M2.

BMW Plans to Launch 25 New and Updated Models by 2021

BMW has such an extensive product plan as part of which they will launch at least 25 cars by 2021. It includes both refreshed variants of existing models and new cars.

The lineup will allow BMW to create a very strong position in the automobile market that is getting increasingly competitive with new arrivals from Tesla as well as other Asian manufacturers. The BMW 5-series Touring edition will make its first debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The 5-Series GT will however be replaced by the new BMW 6-Series model.

With carbon fiber and other lightweight materials, the engineers have managed to make the new car at least 220lbs lighter than the outgoing model. It will offer a wide range of powertrain options including four-cylinder, six-cylinder and eight-cylinder variants. The top of the line car can deliver up to 465 horsepower making it the most powerful offering in the segment whereas the entry level model will go with 190 horsepower.

The year 2017 is going to be a busy time for BMW because they have multiple launches lined up. The BMW X2 will be the next that offers diesel and petrol engine variants similar to the X1 mode. While it is being speculated that the BMW X3 series will also be debuted towards the end of this year, it won’t be available in dealership stores anytime soon. The X3 introduces the CLAR platform, a brand new design made by BMW for the first time for their SUV class cars and it will also be used to design the BMW X7, the long awaited model.

The automobile manufacturer is also expected to launch the BMW M5, M2 GTS in the second half of this year. The M5 will sport an all-wheel drive system. It will be powered by a 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 engine capable of rendering an amazing 600 horsepower while the M2 GTS powered by a 3.0-liter engine will produce 400 horsepower. While majority of the cars released this year will be fast and powerful versions, the real BMW Z5 sports car will bow in 2018.

The sports model is being designed in association with Toyota. BMW 8-series, 3-series and X5 along with a cabriolet variant of the 8-series is also in the cards. Some of them may get launched next year while the convertible, BMW 1 Series and BMW iNext is set for launch after 2019. The futuristic i5 is expected to be out by 2021.

Rumors: 2019 BMW M2 Gran Coupe Coming to Compete with CLA 45 AMG

BMW is reportedly working on a new version of the 2-series so as to enter into the market by 2019., British Autocar magazine reports that the German company is planning to come out with a Gran Coupe version of the BMW M2.

The entire 2-series lineup of vehicles from BMW may have not received a huge welcome worldwide, but this has not been the case with the BMW M2. Regarded as one of the finest driver’s vehicle, it has been on the lips of enthusiasts over the last year. In BMW’s dictionary, the Gran Coupe refers to the four-door version of the two-door vehicle.

The BMW M2 Gran Coupe is necessary for the company to compete with vehicles like the Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG or the Audi RS 3. Both these vehicles have received excellent response especially in the United States. Lowering gas prices may have shifted their attention back to crossovers and sports utility vehicles, but the demand for sports vehicles like the BMW M2 Gran Coupe remain in place.

The German company has had a lot of success with making Gran Coupe versions of its popular vehicles. The likes of the 6 series Gran Coupe are a perfect example. As of now, it is only rumored that the company will come out with a Gran Coupe version of the BMW M2. It is not known whether the model will come with an exclusive trunk just like one on the 6 series or if it goes for the lift-back rear opener like on the Gran Coupe versions of the 4 series.

BMW are almost certain to increase the size of the next generation BMW 3 series, which could come in a short while. This would allow the company some space to increase the size of the 2 series as well. The current BMW 2 series coupe has a wheelbase of 105.9 inches whereas the current generation 3 series sedan comes with a wheelbase of 110.6 inches. The upcoming BMW M2 Gran Coupe is expected to have a wheelbase in the middle of these two figures.

Not much changes can be expected in terms of the powertrain since the vehicle is expected to continue with the same powertrain as seen in the regular 2 series. This would mean the presence of turbocharged gasoline engines with two or three liter capacities either in the four-cylinder or in-line six format.

BMW M2 is Not Going to Get a Convertible Variant

There are cars designed to shed their top to become hot convertibles while others that aren’t made for such a feat. BMW is confident that the their M2 is not designed to go convertible which is why no such variant will be launched now or in the near future.

The M2 is one of the hottest new launches from the company and the coupe has received some amazing comments from both enthusiasts as well as common people alike. It is said to be the most comfortable and fun to drive around car of the season. Obviously, such success may convince the manufacturer to go for more models so as to reap more sales. However, BMW is all about quality and are not ready to compromise when they know it’s going to go bad.

Speaking about the possibility of a M2 convertible, Frank Isenberg, chief engineer at BMW confirmed that the M235i convertible is there for a reason. It is what the brand likes to offer to its buyers while the M2 was never designed to become a convertible in the future. When news comes from one of the important people in the stable, there could hardly be a contradicting opinion later on.

The interview was held during the M2 launch event during which the engineer added that convertibles are designed for cruising and not racetracks. The idea behind the car is to offer a true experience for enthusiasts to balance performance and driver engagement at its higher level. It’s all about focusing on the purist aspect rather can creating a versatile car to appease every one of them out there.

While there are plenty of occasions where engineers and designers always love to focus on performance of a model rather than trying to sell it in different variants, the BMW M2 may still see a convertible in the far future if the board members decide to bring one out.

It’s all about the sales the car might witness in the following months and the reception it has among buyers. If a lot of people star demanding BMW to launch a M2 convertible, the company might probably do it without questions as it means more revenue.

For now, the M2 is available in dealerships and is priced at $52,695. The car is expected to reach more regions within a short period as BMW expects to reach a wider audience with this popular coupe.

BMW M2 and X4 M40i Gets an Official Price Tag

Just a day ago, the company officially announced the BMW M2 and the X4 M40i at the Detroit Auto Show 2016. While the brand unveiled the cars and their specifications, they refrained from talking about the pricing.

One of the models is scheduled for launch in the month of February which is days to go. BMW announced that they will be making the price official close to the release date. Much to the delight of buyers who were considering to buy the M2 or the X4 M40i, they have confirmed the pricing of multiple trim line variants that will be made available.

When it hits dealership stores, the BMW M2 will be priced at a moderate $52,695 which includes the deliver charges. The pricing is very similar to the Porsche Cayman and is at least $7k higher than the M235i from BMW. An increase in overall pricing obviously leads to better performance and comfort. The model is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged six speed engine. It is capable of rendering 365 horsepower and 343 pound feet of torque.

The M2 will easily reach from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds with a maximum top speed of 155 miles per hour. For people who doesn’t need more space and are good to go with two door models, BMW offers the X4 M40i. The car is priced at $58,795 including delivery charges. It is capable of rendering 355 horsepower with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 343 lb feet of torque. It can easily hit the 0 to 60 miles per hour speed in 4.7 seconds.

The M40i has a top speed of 150 miles per hour as confirmed by BMW in their official press statement. Some of the features unique to the model include an exterior chassis which has been meticulously tuned to meet the M performance specifications. The car is also integrated with BMW Connected Drive technology, xDrive system and Twinscroll turbo technology.

While it is good to know the pricing of the models, the only problem is that BMW failed to announce the pricing of the different trim line variants available. They have announced only the pricing of the top line of the models available, but not the other variants. It is somewhat of a disappointment for those who were planning to opt for the cheaper version of the M2 or the M40i. Otherwise, the pricing is more in the expected range.

BMW M2 and X4 M40i Performance Edition Unveiled at Detroit Show

At the ongoing Detroit Auto Show 2016, BMW launched the M2 performance coupe variant and the X4 M40i. The brand didn’t stop there because they had nearly a dozen cars scheduled for the auto show launch as well.

A lion’s share of the launches was dedicated to plug-in hybrids and electric cars. BMW was no different as the company also showcased the X7, BMW 7, 330e, as well as the i8 and the electric car i3.

Speaking about the newly launched BMW M2, the executive confirmed that the car will be powered by a 3-liter six-cylinder engine capable of delivering amazing top speed and acceleration. It can easily touch from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. They also confirmed that the M2 will be available in the U.S. markets in spring 2016.

The electric version, the BMW X4 M40i will be powered by a six-cylinder turbo charged engine with the capability to deliver 355 horsepower combined with 343 lb feet of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds. It will be made available in the month of February in the United States, but BMW refrained from announcing the pricing at the Detroit Motor Show. They have confirmed that pricing will be made official close to the launch date.

The M40i will also be made available in Europe in the first quarter of 2016. However, the diesel variant of the car is under much trouble due to the Volkswagen emission scandal. It is being said that the diesel version of the car in the U.S. and UK may be delayed until a possible solution is arrived at. Meanwhile, most manufacturers have pushed plug-ins and hybrids in favor of diesel engines at reduced cost.

At this rate, most gasoline cars could be accompanied by hybrid, plug-in models which may phase out diesel cars eventually. The diesel engines are slowly becoming obsolete in Europe due to high emission restrictions and the same is expected to take place in other regions in the next two to three years.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet has already launched an affordable electric car with good mile range while Tesla has promised to do the same in 2018. With $30,000 electric cars running 300 miles on a single charge, there is hardly any reason to say no to them. The BMW X4 M40i may join the list as well.

BMW M2 Gets an Official Price Tag, Upcoming Variants Listed

The BMW M2 Coupe is coming! It is known for a while, but the company has officially confirmed the pricing and the different variants that will be available on launch.

When it launches, the M2 is going to be a competitive car to beat the likes of Mercedes AMG CLA45 and the Audi RS3. The vehicle will be landing in dealership stores in 2016. It is being touted as the spiritual successor to the E30 M3.

On the inside, the car will be powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine which will pump out 500Nm torque and 272 kW of power. On launch, two different variants of the car will be available. The first one, which is going to be the cheaper of them all will be powered a petrol engine and uses a six speed manual transmission system. It is named as the M2 Pure while the next model in the series will use a seven speed automatic transmission and has dual clutch design.

According to the information available, the pricing of the BMW M2 Pure model will be $89,900 in Australia. While it may not be an exact conversion in the US and UK, trade analysts confirmed that it will be very close to the price tag in order to make it feasible for buyers in every region. The higher end variant will be priced at $98, 900.

All models will have Active M differential and M compound brakes. They use 19-inch alloy wheels. The features found inside the vehicle include a leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim, rear parking censors and reversing camera. These features help a lot because there are drivers who still find it tough to navigate tight spaces and dimly lit parking lots.

The cars are also equipped with bi-xenon neon lights, Connected Drive services and has a digital radio to keep you entertained on the go. The new version of the BMW M2 also includes adaptive headlights, high beam assist with anti-dazzle function, Harmon Kardonn music system and heated seats to beat the changing weather.

The company has officially confirmed that the BMW M2 models will go on sale towards the mid of 2016 next year. We can expect the vehicles to be showcased at the upcoming auto expos including the Geneva motor show and the ones that are scheduled to take place in the next three months or so. It is an exciting year for automobile enthusiasts without doubt!

BMW M2 and X1 Targeted to Attract the Younger Generation to the BMW Fold

The upcoming BMW M2 and the recently launched X1 models are targeted to attract the younger generation into the BMW fold. Both vehicles feature a youthful and a sportier profile while being less expensive than the other entrants of the BMW paddock.

The BMW M2 is the least expensive M model from the stables of the Bavarian car maker and hence is more geared towards the youth as against the other BMW models. The smaller BMW X1 is positioned for a young family that needs more space and still desires something sportier and more youthful than perhaps the BMW X5.

The BMW M2 is designed for the best performance and with the latest engineering technologies and it is more attractive to the younger generation than the other M models like the BMW M5 as M2 is more digitally loaded which appeals to the millennial.

The second generation BMW X1 has also been received favorably by the media and is expected to be more successful than the earlier version driven primarily by a more affordable pricing structure, new design and use of premium materials.

The company is planning to optimize on the fairly large millennial-group market in the US comprising of people from diverse cultures and those up to the age of 35 years. The company believes that a large percentage of this target group would definitely be able to afford a luxury vehicle.

However, experts believe that to attract this segment, it is not enough just to build a good car. What is also needed is effective advertising and marketing strategies that will help BMW shift its target base towards the youth. The company is estimated to market and position each vehicle based on its substance, engineering character and performance levels.

BMW has to optimize on digital advertisement techniques such as creating a buzz in the social media and blogs in addition to the traditional television mode to attract the younger generation. This might prove to be a challenge for the Bavarian company whose target audience till now has been significantly older in age.

Alpha-N Performance Package Released to Boost BMW M2’s Power

The brand released the BMW M2 a week ago, but within this short period, Alpha-N Performance has released an add-on package, which, when added to the car, can make it simply amazing on the road.

Alpha-N is a company known for its tuning component packages that they release from time to time. They focus on some of the most popular cars from around the globe and release packages for them. It is a great way for buyers to boost the performance of their basic model without spending a fortune. At the moment, the team is busy working on multiple components for the BMW M2 sedan. They are building a brand new carbon fiber front splitter, huge carbon fiber rear wing, roof, wing mirrors and other parts made of lightweight, yet sturdy carbon material.

They have also developed a new brake cooling system which keeps the vehicle under control even when it has achieved its top most speed. The wheels have been upgraded using OZ Superforgiata models which makes them lightweight and swift on the road. The company has released a couple of images of the BMW M2 with all their custom parts installed on it. It should give you a fair view of how the car will look after buying the performance package.

A chip tune is under development for the M2 and it will also receive a water injection system similar to the one found in the higher variant – the M4 GTS. In terms of design, the package makes the ordinary M2 look more like a sports car, especially with the splendid, black rear spoilers and the dark black wheels.

If you wish to achieve a sporty look for the car, the Alpha-N Performance package could probably be the best choice available when the company officially launches it in the market. The vehicle is powered by a 3.0 liter six cylinder engine boosted by a Twin Scroll exhaust system. It delivers a cool 365 horsepower with 343 lb feet of torque.

BMW M2 is relatively a new car in the market and Alpha-N may probably not be the only company to make packages for the car. There will be plenty of third party vendors who will come up with their own speed boost and design variations for the M2. You can choose the one based on your budget and requirement which will bring the best out of the car. There is no specific release date for this package, but it is expected to be out real soon.

2016 BMW M2, 2016 Lexus GS F and 2018 Honda Civic Type R: In Pictures

Car enthusiasts know the pleasure of browsing through some of the best pictures of vehicles that are on the road and yet to get launched.

This week, we bring you the best pictures of the most popular car models – 2016 BMW M2, 2016 Lexus GS F, 2018 Honda Civic Type R and many more.

The automobile community is witnessing a change like never before due to hybrid cars and all electric vehicles. However, traditional gasoline cars continue to be the most preferred choice among the buyers. In order to appease their requirement, the 2016 BMW M2 finally landed in dealerships and even though it is a late arrival, it was worth the wait. The car uses manual transmission with dual clutch box and houses a powerful turbocharged engine on the inside. The rear wheel drive is awesome and on the whole, it’s a much better choice than the M4.

The 2016 Lexus GS F is a worthy competitor from an unusual source. While Lexus has been making luxury vehicles for a while now, they have never had direct contention with the car makers of the world. The GS F with its 467 horsepower and a mammoth V8 engine could probably change this permanently. It has one of the best chassis tuned for optimal drivability and looks outlandishly stylish on the road. Take a look at the picture and you will easily know what we are talking about here.

While it has time before its official launch, the 2018 Honda Civic Type R is already out on the road and test drive is on. The car is scheduled for launch in the United States and is more of a prototype than a fully developed car at the moment. The spy photos don’t reveal much of the vehicle because it is fully camouflaged, but the shape of the car looks like it is mounted on the body of the 10th generation hatchback.

If you have had the chance to look at the Ferrari F12 tdf, it may be really tough to stop drooling over its uncompromised beauty. The car has 770 horsepower making it a beast on any track you pit in and the tdf edition is specially designed to honor the success that Ferrari experienced in their Tour de France car race. There are some more vehicles coming up; but for now, explore the images to enjoy the luxurious finish of these cars.

British Magazine Leaks Info on 2017 BMW M2 Before Official Reveal

The 2017 BMW M2 is one of the most awaited cars and fans have been waiting really long to take a look at it. While the manufacturer has not been kind enough to officially reveal it, a British magazine has done it erroneously.

The official reveal is going to take place tonight after which everything will be known to the buyers. However, the Auto Express magazine in UK showcased pictures of the car along with technical specifications. They have probably scheduled it to be a special edition for the November Issue, but it came out earlier over the web. It could also be the result of an employee who leaked the pages to the internet.

The 2017 BMW M2 is expected to be the one to follow up the grand success of the 1 Series M Coupe Limited Edition. The predecessor created a great hype in the buyer community with its outstanding design and performance. The M2 should recreate the same or at the least, deliver the same level of perfection that customers are used to by now.

It will be powered by a 3.0 liter straight six turbocharged engine which delivers a cool 365 horsepower combined with 343 pound feet of torque. The car has an over boost function using which the overall torque can be bumped up to a higher 367 lb feet per pound, but it can only be used for a limited amount of time. The vehicle uses a six speed manual transmission system which can be upgraded to a dual clutch system with an add-on package.

According to the article by the magazine, the BMW M2 2017 edition will feature a rear wheel drive. But, other rumors claim that BMW has plans to launch an all-wheel drive for the car which will be available only in select regions. The powerful M2 can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds. The top speed of the car is recorded at 155 miles per hour.

On the design front, the 2017 BMW M2 has been made to look more aggressive with wide fender flares and uses three air dams on the sculpted rear bumper. The trunk mounted spoiler contributes to its appearance. BMW confirmed that they have used a racing body kit in the car because the buyers expect the series to look sporty rather than bear conventional looks. The total weight of the car is measured at 3295 pounds. It’s much lesser weight is made possible by the lighter aluminum material used in constructing its body. Official details should be out soon.

2016 BMW M2 Integrates Features from M235i, M3 and M4 in its Small Frame

The all-new 2016 BMW M2 combines features and goodies from three of the inspiring models from the BMW paddock including the M235i, M3 and M4. However, the extra features have resulted in almost near negligible weight savings from the previous M2 model.

The new M2 seems to be like a beefed-up M235i featuring lightened suspension components and active rear differential. However, the featherweight feeling that car enthusiasts normally expect from a coupe is absent as the additional features have made the new M2 weigh 3450 pounds (with the dual clutch transmission) and with the manual transmission, its weight is even more; 3505 pounds.

The sides of the bodywork have been increased by 2.1 inches in the front and by 3.1 inches at the rear to fit the 19-inch forged wheels that have the Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber wrapped around them.

The front part of the new M2 is inspired by M235i and features larger intakes (for the additional engine radiator) to give it a steroid-added profile. At the rear end, the M2 has been fitted with a diffuser (not present in the M235i) and the scallops holding the taillights add the extra width to the rear.

Under the hood, the new 2016 BMW M2 features a 3L inline-6 manifold-integrated turbocharged engine with a TwinScroll exhaust. The M2 also comes with Valvetronic, direct injection and Double-VANOS along with crank bearings and pistons from M4 and M3.

Consequently, the new BMW M2 promises an output of 365 horsepower at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 343 pound-feet at a very low 1400 rpm. These figures are 45 hp and 13 pound feet more than that of the M235i respectively and just 60 hp short of the M4 coupe’s power.

The new M2 also promises to deliver better performance with the 0-62 mph reached in 4.2 seconds with the DCT systems and in 4.4 seconds with the manual gearbox. The maximum speed is the same as the M235i which is 155 miles per hour.

Despite the fact that the manual gearbox seems to make the new M2 slower, it actually feels faster. The ‘rev matching’ feature enables the engine to automatically blip the throttle so as to make every gear shift seem like a perfect one. Additionally, the components of the manual gearbox are coated in carbon fiber making the gearing shifting even smoother.

The new M2’s rear wheel Active M differential is a huge advantage over the M235i. It features an electronically controlled multi-plate unit for keeping the wheel spin under check for improved traction. In very slippery roads, the electronically controlled Active M differential nearly locks down one wheel to exert a peak torque of as much as 1824 pound-feet to prevent the wheel from spinning out of control.

The M2 also features electric power steering replacing the older and more inefficient hydraulic power steering. The 2016 BMW M2 is expected to be available in four colors including Alpine White, Long Beach Blue metallic, Mineral Grey metallic and Black Sapphire metallic.

BMW M2 Teaser Claims Passionate Performance, October Reveal Expected

When a teaser image of a car gets released, it usually showcases the design, but the latest teaser for the BMW M2 has the logo in it coupled with a race track symbol.

While it doesn’t reveal any specific details, we can’t stop ourselves from getting excited for this major launch. It is expected to take part in the month of October according to the post made by BMW Deutschland. The English translation of the German text they have posted reads, “Passionate Performance” justifying the motto of their car and there’s also the quote, “Look forward to an exciting October”.

By gathering collective rumors, it is known that the BMW M2 will probably have four different paint variants to choose from. The colors are Mineral Grey, Alpine White, Black Sapphire and the Long Beach Blue. Each one of them is distinct from one another, which offers the customers appropriate choices to go for. The car will sport an interesting 19-inch black rims, adaptive headlights, rear view camera for driver assistance and power heated front seats for a comfortable ride.

Music lovers may definitely enjoy the BMW M2 because it is expected to sport the Harmon Kardon music system. The 3.0 liter turbocharged six cylinder engine in the sedan is expected to deliver an impressive 370 horsepower that truly justifies the brand integrity the M series has built throughout the years. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds.

The only thing that has irked the fans is that BMW chose to completely ignore the design of the car and go with a simple logo for their teaser. The car is expected to be revealed before the end of October and pre-orders will begin. It will be shipped to customers before the end of 2015.

The vehicle will be powered by a six speed manual transmission system, but the buyers can choose to go with a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission for an additional cost. With such features and add-ons, it is no wonder the customers are increasingly excited to check out the BMW M2 in action. We will receive official pictures of the vehicle during the launch event and maybe some videos as well, showing the car in action. It should give you a fair idea of BMW’s offering and decide whether it will be a good choice to go for. Let’s hope it lives up to the hype it has generated through the months.

Sports Car BMW M2 Leaked with 6 Speed Manual Gearbox

Good news for automotive enthusiasts who prefer to shift gears while driving, one of the most powerful sports car, the BMW M2 will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Even better, there will be an option for a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which shows that there will be no automatic option. For those who want automatic shifting, this comes as bad news.

The leaked options list is courtesy of an automotive forum and aside from the manual control, shows several other features of the M2.

For example, the sports car will be available in four exterior colors, including Alpine White, Long Beach Blue, Black Sapphire and Mineral Gray. For the interior, only one color is available and that is the black leather coupled with blue stitching. As for the wheel options, the single option is a 19-inches alloy wheels with black finishing.

Regarding power, the BMW M2 will be one of the fastest sports cars in the industry. Under the hood the M2 will feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with 370hp which will allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed is set at 250km/h. The BMW M2 might get a better mileage than the more powerful M4, courtesy of better fuel efficiency. The best way to get a grasp of the performance is to use the M4 as a comparison. The M4 is the bigger brother of the BMW M2, but you will need to scale down everything by 20 percent.

The standard features of the BMW M2 will include Navigation Pro. Additionally, customers can get optional features such as carbon fibre inserts, black shadow line, rear parking sensors, power heated front seats, internet access, tinted read windows, adaptive highlights and much more. Customers will also be able to get a five year warranty and there are reports that a carbon fiber roof might be on the works as well.

At the moment, price and release date are unknown. However, according to many reports, the car is expected at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The show is scheduled for September and is traditionally a show where many German car manufacturers showcase their latest designs and products.
