Rolls Royce Ghost Elegance Redefines Luxury with Real Crushed Diamond Paint

Rolls Royce Ghost Elegance

Automobile expos aren’t what they used to be as Rolls Royce Ghost Elegance redefines luxury with the all-new car that has been painted with a diamond finish.

Understandably, it is the first ever time a car features such a diamond paint and Rolls Royce is quite proud of what they have accomplished. The specifications of the car hardly matters at this point when they have actually crushed 1,000 diamonds to create a new form of paint called “Diamond Stardust” and mixed it with the right variant of paint to get the end result. The company’s top designers spent a solid two months to find the best paint that goes with their star dust before they finalized on the one that was revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Speaking about the model, the company said that their team wasn’t satisfied until they got the right reflection with these precious stones. Another practical issue was that the paint should be smooth to touch without rough edges created by the diamond dust. They managed to make it slippery smooth by crushing those diamonds to smooth dust. After the initial layer of painting is done, Rolls Royce applied another thin coat of paint to ensure the glitter doesn’t go away when the car is polished.

The designing team spent two whole days to do the painting and it was hand done to achieve the desired look. The Ghost Elegance also features final pin striping to give the car a Mugello Red and Black finish. Once you have done admiring the exterior, the interior of the car is equally impressive with black leather seats and Mugello red stitching on the corners. The Rolls Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase model uses Tudor Oak Veneer with a bespoke cloak for the dashboard making it as exquisite as a car could get.

Lounge seats are quite spacious and comfortable with Selby Grey leather on top. The actual pricing of the Ghost Elegance wasn’t announced during the Geneva expo but it doesn’t need any expertise to know that it will be way above the range that any average buyer could afford. The diamonds cost about $3,250 a carat and at least 1,000 of them were crushed to paint the model. Add the pricing of the Rolls Royce Ghost Elegance and it’s going to be one expensive model that’s designed to be a collector’s edition than an actual car you could drive in dusty roads.

2018 BMW X3 Gets Official Spy Photos from Sweden

Spy photos are usually captured by photographers and unofficially released.

However, the 2018 BMW X3 has received official spy shots that show the car being tested in Sweden.

The compact SUV is aesthetically designed but it won’t be showcased at the 2017 Geneva motor show. Instead, BMW seems to have planned to launch it later in another expo that takes place later this year. The company didn’t confirm which expo it will be and they may even make it official during a random month to capture the attention of their audience. The new X3 is being tested in the snow clad regions stress testing the powertrains to make sure they deliver the best performance even under such harsh conditions.

Surprisingly, the spy photos are of high definition and should give you a clear overview of how the SUV would like to. The major share of the car is camouflaged that keeps the overall design a mystery. However, it is possible to confirm that the front end with trapezoidal headlights and kidney grille pretty much derives strong inspiration from the F30 3 Series.

The sides of the car derive its design elements from the F25 model with the popular L-shaped taillights that are retained. This particular model spotted in the photos is equipped with the M Sport package that includes an aggressive rear bumper, deep side sills and large front air intakes. It also includes special M package disc brakes with blue calipers and twin exhaust exits.

Under the hood, the 2018 BMW X3 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight six engine which is capable of producing about 360 horsepower combined with 465 Nm of Torque. The powertrain is mated to an eight speed ZF automatic transmission gearbox. The numbers are derived from the X4 M40i where the same engine is already being used in real world conditions. It is also speculated that the X3 will be made available with choice of powertrains including a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that produces about 252 horsepower.

The next generation model is mounted on top of BMW’s latest CLAR platform which is already used to build the G30 5 Series and the G11 7 Series. The new platform is expected to shave off significant weight from the compact SUV contributing to its increased fuel efficiency, aerodynamics and overall performance. Aside from the conventional petrol and diesel engine variants, the 2018 BMW X3 may get launched with an electric motor that solely runs using battery power.

The tenth-generation car will be powered by a 2.0-liter VTEC engine. The model’s production will be carried in Swindon in United Kingdom and the same will be exported to the United States for deliveries in the country. It will also be the first time a Honda Type R vehicle is confirmed to be sold in the North American region.

The concept model was revealed during the Paris auto show last month and Honda managed to capture the attention of people with its near production model. Some of the design changes made to the model include its extreme look accentuated by revamped front bumper, rear diffuser. The smoked lenses combined with the bumper design makes it very aggressive unlike any of the Civic from the past.

The actual specifications will be confirmed at the Geneva motor show. The 2017 Honda Civic Type R will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine producing about 340 horsepower and 450Nm of torque. The sources are reliable and there may not be any major changes to the powertrain used in the car. It can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. All these performance boosts come from a tweaked version of the engine that is already being used by the current generation model.

Honda will continue to use the front wheel drive system and the powertrain will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox system. The upcoming Civic Type R will directly compete with Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S edition and aims to set new records to signify its importance in the performance division. The body shape has undergone some minor yet useful changes so as to achieve better speed, controls and improved aerodynamics.

Porsche is pretty confident that they can convince buyers who are looking for more passenger and boot space to jump to the brand with this new offering.

A solid bunch of changes are made to the aerodynamics of the car which is complimented by a complex active spoiler element that is mounted on top of the tailgate. Land Rover Teases New Range Rover Velar Coupe-SUV Model, Coming to Geneva Show

Land Rover is expanding their list of cars with a new coupe-SUV named the Range Rover Velar.

The upcoming model is made to fill the gap between the Range Rover Sport and the Evoque.

The image released by Land Rover is clearly a teaser shot made to entice the audience and get them interested in the new compact SUV they are working on. The shot showcases a shoulder line that bluntly ends in the rear end and has panoramic glass roof. A notable change is the rear LED tail lights which are horizontally placed instead of the vertical design the full sized Range Rover models have.

Another interesting choice is that the team picked this top shot to ensure the sides of the Range Rover Velar is not visible. However, based on the steep roofline it should share some similarities with the Evoque. The limited vision that we could get into the cabin confirmed that it uses a widescreen InControl Touch Pro infotainment system from JLR. Land Rover hasn’t been so secretive about their new coupe SUV as they did confirm it will create a significant position.

While they didn’t explicitly state the scenario, the statement denotes the automobile manufacturer will go for four-cylinder, six-cylinder turbocharged petrol as well as diesel engines variants to choose from. All these powertrains are already being used in the Evoque and Sport models. They will be carried forward to be used in the Velar with tweaks to suit the car’s design. A powerful, sportier V8 edition is also being considered along with a hybrid variant to provide more options for buyers.

Based on the teaser image text that says, refined for every occasion and every terrain, the upcoming coupe SUV could have strong off-road capabilities with appropriate tires and ground clearance. Speaking about the new launch, Land Rover’s Gerry McGovern commented that they have blended the best of elegance, modernity and glamor to make the Velar a strong addition to the existing lineup.

The car’s scheduled for an official reveal at the Geneva Motor show next month. Before the public debut, the Range Rover Velar will be showcased to the media on March 1st. The manufacturer didn’t discuss its pricing but based on its positioning, the Velar could cost around £45,000 so as to fill the gap between Evoque and Sport. More details on its official pricing in different regions and availability will be revealed at the auto show.

All models or at least the base model will use a front wheel drive system. The powertrain is mated to a six speed manual transmission system. The 300-hp is a huge number to deliver and with these speculations, Honda definitely has to prove themselves during the big reveal. If they can pull it off, they are sure to impress the audience and the Civic Type R could once again break sales record to become one of the fastest selling variants in North America.

The upcoming model will go against the Ford Focus RS that delivers a solid 350 horsepower while it’s next competitor Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S offers 305 horsepower. They have such a large fan following and has set new benchmarks that Honda has to beat in order to give a tough contention to other manufacturers. The actual performance numbers will be revealed when the Honda Civic Type R gets an official debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The event should shed some light on what the brand has to show us and it will also be the venue where all top automobile manufacturers showcase their best technology designed for the future.

Next Gen Audi RS3 2017 Edition is Ready for Geneva Motor Show Launch

An updated version of the Audi RS3 has been confirmed by the automobile manufacturer and it will be launched at this year’s Geneva motor show.

The upcoming model will go against the BMW M140i and the Mercedes Benz A45 cars. It has been revealed ahead of the motor show so as to keep the press and public interested in what Audi has to offer. The company confirmed that the 2017 RS3 hatchback will be powered by a five-cylinder turbocharged engine. The heavily tweaked variant of the powertrain will provide much better acceleration than the engine used to power the RS3 saloon variant.

The engine is mated to a seven speed double clutch S-Tronic gearbox. The 2017 Audi RS3 can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 155 miles per hour. That’s such a huge benchmark for the model and will be designed to meet the expectations of speed enthusiasts.

Compared to the RS3 hatchback performance, the Mercedes and BMW cars fall slightly behind. The M140i xDrive can reach 60mph in 4.6 seconds while the A45 4Matic does the same in 4.2 seconds. Stylish, More Powerful Toyota Yaris to Debut at 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Toyota Yaris is about to go next gen with more powerful engine, stylish exteriors and will be unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The event is scheduled to place on 9th March and will continue till 19th of the same month. Being one of the longest auto expo events, all top automobile manufacturers are expected to showcase their best cars in here. The new Yaris WRC is set to leave its mark at the Monte Carlo Rally this month. Inspired by the rally car, Toyota is going to make a conventional model designed for buyers. It will sport some of the elements from the WRC car making it stand out from the crowd.

While it is confirmed that a more powerful, sleek Yaris will find its way to the Geneva motor show the automobile brand will also revamp the entire lineup. All the Yaris cars will undergone significant design changes both in the front and the rear end along with fully modernized interiors. We expect the models to sport an improved infotainment system with larger displays, connectivity options and features that make driving fun. Technical improvements made in the next generation cars will allow people to experience the best in-class handling and comfort.

Toyota has planned to make the car popular in the hybrid segment and as part of the initiative, they will soon launch the Yaris hybrid version. The particular hybrid variant has already acquired nearly 40 percent of the market share in the B segment sales in Europe. The auto brand’s primary goal is to acquire such significant numbers in US and UK regions besides other potential countries where there’s a growing market for hybrid powertrains.

At the moment, there is very little information available with regards to the Toyota Yaris 2017 edition. The company in their official blog has posted a picture but yet to reveal any teaser video or discuss its technical specifications. When the WRC event commences, we will be able to witness the sporty Yaris in action. However, it’s going to be a short wait until the Geneva show to know accurate details with regards to the road-going model.

Volkswagen Arteon Four Door Coupe Spy Shots Reveal Car Design

Volkswagen is gearing up to launch a new premium saloon, the Arteon four door coupe.

The car will be revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in the month of March.

Before the launch, the car is now being tested on roads and spy photographers have managed to capture the vehicle in action. As expected, it is heavily camouflaged and gives us a little peak as to what to expect from this particular model. Some of the design aspects that we could find are the flowing roofline, the long rear overhang and the overall sleek finish. Right from the start, it is evident that Volkswagen is interested in making a sporty saloon that appeals to performance car lovers with a touch of practicality.

According to the company, the Arteon four door coupe is a totally new model which will be the ideal replacement for the CC. Volkswagen added that the new car will be a big leap for other cars in the class and will be such a performance driven variant that the company is planning to launch it as a flagship model. While VW has not made a comment on the same, we came to the conclusion based on the name and the details that got leaked so far.

The teaser spy photos show a sleek, low profile car which could probably be the right replacement that buyers are looking for to compete with the Mercedes CLS four door coupe. However, VW has other ideas as during press meets the company claimed that the Arteon will rather be a competitor for the BMW 4 series Gran Coupe. The pricing of the base model is expected to be around £30,000 and will be available in autumn next year in UK. The car will also be launched in U.S. and Europe next year but there could be slight variations in the actual launch date.

The new model introduces ‘horizontally accentuated’ look for the first time with this four door coupe with a large front grille, horizontal slants and large LED headlights. The front fascia is much different than what one would expect from a typical Volkswagen car and it is precisely the output the brand wants to achieve. They are going out of the conventional way and even had planned to use frameless windows, top hinged tailgate with an exceptionally large boot space. The total space when the rear seats are folded is expected to be around 1,700 liters. Safety features including driver assists, automatic emergency braking and semi-autonomous driving will be part of the Volkswagen Arteon.

Maserati Planning New EV to Beat Tesla’s Model 3, Slated for 2018 Launch

Like most other automobile makers, Fiat Chrysler is working on its own version of the Tesla Model 3. The cheaper electric car with an impressive mileage is expected to get launched in 2018.

The model is still in its early production stages and Fiat may have to work on a lot of technical stuff before they could create such powerful battery. Besides, the brand is also expected to keep the pricing of the car lower than the $35,000 mark set by Tesla. The Model 3 variant from the company is scheduled for launch in 2018. Pre-orders for the car have already begun and the automaker has made billions in profit.

Tesla is not without its share of issues because the engineers took so much time to deliver the Model S and the Model X SUV. A lot of logistical and technical issues were cited as the reason. However, the brand has finally come out of the initial hassles and are totally ready to embrace the future with their electric cars. Other companies are simply following the benchmark set by Tesla while facing obstacles of their own.

The upcoming model is expected to be the Maserati Alfieri sports car. A concept car of the same was originally debuted during the 2014 Geneva motor show. It should give people a glimpse of what the company might be working on. The model showcased was powered by a gasoline engine and Maserati had no plans to make it into a hybrid or an electric car at that moment. With things rapidly changing in the automobile industry, the possibility of an EV was confirmed which now paved way for the Maserati Alfieri in 2018.

There’s also a rumor that the brand doesn’t plan to roll out the Alfieri before the company’s CEO SergioMarchionne retires off his position in 2019. The news could possibly be considered baseless because he is interested in building hybrids and electric vehicles. He may choose to launch the first EV before he retires from his prestigious position.

Above all this, the electric lineup is still expanding and Fiat is building more. They are working on building a small EV which is set to be sold only in Europe for now. Throughout history, Fiat has always refrained from making electric cars but in order to stay ahead of competition, they are going to change their policy and adopt innovation.

Renault Maxthon SUV Teaser Video Released

The automobile world now has a strong focus on creating the best sports utility vehicles that has inspired even manufacturers who used to focus more on sedans and saloon models in the past.

Renault is getting ready to launch the Maxthon SUV before which they have rolled out an official teaser video.

The video as expected reveals very little about the SUV model. However, it does give us some important information with regards to the route Renault is taking at the moment. Instead of trying to compete with seven seater models like the Nissan X-Trail, the company decided to make their version more spacious and comfortable for the passengers. They have opted for a five seater design which is a laudable choice instead of cramming a lot of things into the same platform.

The teaser video also confirmed that Renault is going to launch the vehicle officially at the 2016 Beijing motor show. When all other auto manufacturers are heading to the show, it is obvious that the company wants to stand out of the crowd and convince buyers to go for their offering. The Maxthon SUV will be manufactured in a new Chinese factory. It was recently completed and will exclusively be dedicated to producing more quantities so as to meet the increasing demands in the country.

It is easy to spot the bright full LED headlights used in the car. They officially tweeted the same, highlighting the said feature. The teaser video also falls in place with multiple spy shots that emerged earlier. There are rumors that Renault is looking forward to build a bigger SUV but it will be sometime before they step into this new project.

When questioned about their plans to go for a seven seater model, the company’s top head said, “We are really looking forward to offer many choices for our buyers. The new car is ready to hit the market but it is definitely not a seven seater. However, we can’t completely deny the fact that there is scope for such bigger cars and adding two more seats is quite possible, but not for now. It could happen at a later time.”

A prototype version of the model was displayed at the 2105 Geneva motor show. Renault is yet to officially name their five seater SUV. With the Beijing show close by, it will be few days before we can know more details about their new launch.
