2022 Hyundai Terracan is a Rugged Car for Off-Road Driving

2022 Hyundai Terracan

A quick glance at the 2022 Hyundai Terracan will immediately let buyers know that this is not the vehicle you drive around in your morning commute.

The design is focused on users who are looking forward to going on their next trekking trip and enjoy living in the wild. It will also provide all the features one would need to stay in touch with the modern world.

Hyundai has been expanding its line-up in all directions in the past few years. They have already confirmed that a much larger SUV is in the works. This particular model has been named the Palisade which features a unibody construction.

Despite being such a large car, this model doesn’t feature off-road tires and makes it difficult to take it out in the open. However, the newly revealed design of the Terracan confirms that they have something entirely new for the off-roading community. The vehicle uses a ladder-frame design which is slightly similar to the Chevrolet Tahoe and Toyota Land Cruiser. The design has been rendered by Enoch Gabriel Gonzales. It is not clear whether they have started working on a prototype or would rather skip this idea for now.

From every perspective, this new compact SUV looks perfect for most people especially if you are really tired of the bustling activity in the city. The impressive ride height will make it a comfortable ride during long drives and will combine additional features including a split grille with skid plate. Making it even more rugged is the addition of a tow hook and the large air intake which allows it to come out of any demanding road conditions in the rain or the forest.

No Confirmation So Far

Talking about this prototype design done by the design, a Hyundai executive admitted that adding such an SUV to their line-up would definitely prove fruitful. After they have already covered every segment, getting into the off-road zone will help them get more sales and compete with Toyota and Land Rover. These two brands continue to be a major player in the segment and have no direct competition from the likes of Ford, Honda or any other similar automobile brands.

Hyundai has to work on a completely new design from the scratch and it will be introduced only if the executives from the top management green lights this project. It is to be seen if the 2022 Hyundai Terracan becomes a reality.

Dynamic Design and Revamped Interiors

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson promises a dynamic redesign. The actual vehicle is still under wraps but based on the images released to the press, we can definitely make out most of the design changes. When in a parked condition, the headlights look almost non-existent because of the seamless design and the placement of the grille. According to the company, they have implemented parametric hidden lights and parametric dynamics. They light up quickly and impressively like a billboard which you can spot in one of the images posted here.

The taillights include a full LED strip while the roofline has sharp yet elegant curves adding to the overall design. The cabin as found in the rendered images assures a clear twin-cockpit design which looks definitely futuristic but we should soon see it in person to confirm the same. The infotainment system if we are to guess should be large with a 10-inch display while the controls are all mounted at arms reach for the convenience of both passenger and the driver.

While the photographs of the new Tucson showcase both the exterior design, the focus seems to be more on the interior comfort features and the lighting system. The vehicle is expected to significantly bring in an upgrade for the dashboard that would help make life easier for the driver and passengers onboard. An official launched of the 2022 Tucson reveal is expected to be on the 14th of September and it should hit stores worldwide in the following months or possibly next year.

2020 Hyundai Kona Pre-Order Opens in Malaysia, Pricing and Booking Fee Revealed

The 2020 Hyundai Kona has officially found its way to Malaysia as pre-orders for the vehicle has opened up.

If you are living in the country, you should probably be willing to pay the full price for the car including the booking fee but there could be some specific offers to convince more people to join the Hyundai family.

The Kona is one of their most anticipated releases as Hyundai has continued to build the brand as well as the new models they were about to launch. The final pricing for the car is still being kept under wraps. It does help pique the interest factor because the manufacturer has confirmed the pricing will be RM 11X,XXX. So, you can possibly fill in your favorite numbers and keep playing the guessing game until an official release is made by the brand.

While we still don’t have the full numbers, it is easy to say that Hyundai has priced the Kona so well as that it could easily go head-on with its competitors. The direct competitor that will be facing this new launch will be the Honda HR-V. There are three different variants being offered by Honda in this period which costs RM104,000 whereas the highest variant in the lineup goes all the way up to RM118,582. For buyers who are planning to go for the top of the line variant on the Hyundai car may pay more but we expect the base variant to be fully equipped for most users. The other direct competitors that we could list include Mazda CX-3 and Toyota C-HR.

Performance and Powertrain

The 2020 Hyundai Konda will compete against some of the best competitors in Malaysia at a similar price tag. If they could bring in a couple of new features, connected systems and provide basic elements in the base variant, they would easily win the hearts of many. It could become of the best value for car available and has specific engine variants rather than expanding the lineup too much.

The next gen Elantra will have a much bigger powertrain that delivers about 204 horsepower and features similar design improvements.

The Revamped Hyundai Grand i10 is All Set to be Launched in India in January 2017

The South Korean automaker Hyundai has been reportedly making plans to pave the way for its product launch strategy for 2017 in the Indian market starting with the facelifted version of the Grand i10 facelift.

The company has already started to test the Grand i10 facelift and test creations under camouflage were recently snapped in Chennai, India. Previously, the automobile maker had unveiled the pictures of the new Grand i10 in the UK and now it is all set to mark its debut in India in January 2017.

There have been reports circulating which have confirmed the launch of the renovated Grand i10 in January 2017. The revamped version of the new Hyundai i10, which was first unveiled for the European market in August this year will now feature a complete shift in the design for the Indian market. The Grand i10 facelift will now arrive with a younger simulation featuring many cosmetic upgrades. The hot hatchback will arrive with several changes to the exteriors and a few changes to the interiors.

Though it will not be a smoking gun replica of the UK-spec variant, the Grand i10 is expected to take a lot of cues from it for launch in India.

The Exteriors

Though the basic design of the car remains almost the same, the Grand i10 facelift will now feature a younger stance that will be highlighted by a few changes in the front. A new hexagonal grille called as the Cascading grille, which will be characterized by its flowing line that is curved will now become the new identity for all the upcoming Hyundai models in the future. The new Grand i10 will also wear a redesigned front bumper that comes with a set of new, round, and unconventional LED daytime running lights that have been positioned on both the sides of the grille at its top edges.

The hatchback has also been tweaked to have a beefed up bumper design at the rear which will have a thick black inlay. The rear sporty fog lamps are also round shaped to complement the change in the design of the front headlights. The side moldings have also been redesigned along with the new diamond-cut alloy wheels that will be rounding off the refreshed profile of the new Hyundai Grand i10.

The Interiors

The inside cabin of the facelifted Grand i10 comes with an array of new feature updates that include a new infotainment system with a touchscreen display. There will be options for advanced connectivity, and also enhanced safety features that will be available for the higher variants of the Grand i10. The interiors will come in an all-black or an-blue colored scheme, apart from the upholstery made from rich leather. The Euro-spec model of the Grand i10 had a new 7-inch touch screen system that features CarPlay from Apple, Android Auto and navigation facilities.

Under The Hood

On the mechanical front, the Grand i10 will probably remain untouched in the new version. Currently, the new Hyundai Grand i10 petrol variant is powered by a Kappa engine of 1.2 liters capacity which can produce a power of 82 bhp and a torque of 116 Nm, whereas the diesel variant of the car carries a 3-cylinder U2 VGT motor engine of 1.1 liters capacity that churns out a power of 70 bhp and a torque of 163 Nm.

Hyundai, the second largest carmaker in India, will be launching the Grand i10 in a tug-of-war opposing the likes of Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, and Tata Tiago.

Hyundai is Building a New Baby SUV To Beat Nissan Juke

Hyundai is about to expand its SUV lineup with a new baby SUV that is set to beat the Nissan Juke from its top position.

The car is already confirmed as spy photographers have managed to capture the vehicle in action. It is now being tested on the road and will probably find its way to dealership stores in another 18 months or so. Tucson SUV is the most popular model from the company that witnessed amazing sales in history. It was launched a year ago and continues to make some great revenue for the brand in all regions including Europe and UK.

Instead of replacing their best model, Hyundai is going to add another SUV to the lineup. It is going to be smaller in size so as to compete against the likes of the Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008 and the popular Nissan Juke. The new car will be constructed on the same chassis which is currently being used in the i20. It has enough space and being a baby SUV, it may not require a new chassis. Using the existing one will also allow Hyundai to reduce production costs and keep the pricing of the model within an affordable range.

The chassis is just two years old. Hyundai has also planned to use the powertrains from the i30 model. It could be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine,1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.6-liter diesel engine.

A couple of spy photographs have emerged online and it confirmed that design elements from the Intrado concept car are being borrowed by the auto brand. The front grille could sport a curved hexagonal finish. While it is based on the i20, there is no official name for the SUV yet. It will be available in select markets including the UK, Europe among other regions where a baby SUV would find a huge audience base.

Hyundai is going to expand its lineup with new ix models. The particular variant is limited to regions at the moment and are used to name crossovers, SUVs. As they are being built using i20 and i30 variants, using the ix sub tag should be an appropriate way to go about it. The automobile brand sees huge scope for these cars in the near future in US, UK markets. All they have to do is price them right with enough features and performance bundled into the cars.

Hyundai Aims To Launch Multiple Hydrogen Models By 2018

Hyundai is aiming to bring multiple vehicles to the consumer market and all of them scheduled for 2018 launch will be using hydrogen fuel cells.

The aim is to make the new fuel system more affordable than it already is. The information was gained through a Korean newspaper. The government is keen on promoting better fuel efficient and environmental friendly vehicles to the general public. With a view to achieve this goal, they have partnered with Hyundai to help introduce hydrogen cell models. The pricing of the car will be half of what the Hyundai Tucson fuel cell models demand.

The government is looking forward to have at least 10,000 cars on road by 2020 and all of them should be powered by this new cell technology. The upcoming model from Hyundai is supposed to go up to 373 miles on a full charge. The proposed distance is exceptionally large and possibly higher than what Tesla plans to offer with their Model 3 car.

While electrified vehicles are gaining popularity among general public, Hyundai is taking a whole new route to deliver something unique. However, pricing will play a crucial role in helping them reach their customers. Based on local pricing in Korea, the car should be close to $54,000 which is quite higher than what Nissan, Ford and Tesla have planned to provide with their electric vehicle lineup.

The Tucson FCV is already available in the United States. To make it more affordable, the auto manufacturer provides an option for buyers to lease the vehicle for a three-year period. They have to pay $499 every month and $3,000 should be provided as down payment to receive the vehicle.

The business model might be embraced by some while others find it too much to pay as they have to shell out money every month, instead of owning the car at one go. The upcoming Hyundai hydrogen cars are expected to go for a more conventional sales tactics making it easier for potential buyers to go for it without leasing issues.

With the crossover and SUV market booming in the U.S., manufacturers from around the globe are planning to make the most out of it. Almost every model launched throughout the year falls under this category. Minor changes are being made to make them appealing but bigger cars with more space and reliable performance is what buyers look for. Auto makers are doing their best to cater to their needs.

Hyundai i30 N Will Be The First Of Many, N Division To Launch Six Models

Hyundai’s N performance division is about to expand their lineup. The team has confirmed that they will offer six different models before 2019 and the i30 N is the first of many to hit dealership stores.

Apart from the small hatchback, the team is also working on a high performance SUV, another hot hatchback among other models. Spy photos of the Hyundai i30 N recently emerged online and it showed some drastic changes are being made to the model. The N division of the company has very strong presence in South Korea but it is about to show off its best creations in other regions in the near future.

The team has confirmed that the i30 N will hit showrooms in the first half of 2017. Albert Biermann who earlier worked with BMW M division is now working with the N performance division of Hyundai. With more than thirty years of experience in the field, Biermann is expected to play a crucial role in helping the brand achieve their goal in the next five years.

Details with regards to the N brand is very limited at the moment. While it is evident that it belongs to the Hyundai performance division, technical specifications of the cars they are about to build is not revealed.Six different models are about to be designed, one of them will be based on the Tuscon while another on the Santa Fe SUV.

The brand is committed to innovation and looks forward to bring the Hyundai name to the forefront in the performance division. “We are working with a new approach. The idea starts with inputs from all team members, pushed to make a decision and once we are committed to something we are not going to go back until it is done. Refining and bringing the best out of it is what we look at,” said an executive.

Hyundai is looking forward to make the upcoming hot hatchback on par with the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Ford Focus ST. While they belong to the hatchback category, Talks are on to create a performance driven version of the Halo to compete with the GT-R and the Nissan NSX. It is still in its early stages and might take a while before they go into production. With plenty of plans, it is evident that Hyundai likes to join other companies by offering performance driven variants of their popular models.

2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup Truck Nearing Production

There are some plans to change and go for a 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup truck rather than the originally planned 2018 edition.

The company’s top heads have decided to go with it. However, the official announcement won’t be done until they announce it at one of the upcoming auto shows. A possible choice would be the Detroit expo or the Los Angeles auto show where the 2019 Santa Cruz pickup truck will make its debut.

Dave Zuchowski, CEO of Hyundai said that they have already made the decision and are going to go with the 2019 edition for the truck. “We have not made the announcement yet but it won’t be long before it is made,” he added.

The upcoming model will be built on the same platform as the Tucson compact crossover. While the vehicle is still in its prototype stage, the brand’s boss confirmed that they are close to finalizing the design. Within a couple of months, they would have finalized the production version of the pickup truck and will take steps to bring the vehicle to dealership stores in time.

It is expected that the model will have either a petrol engine or a diesel engine. The team is leaning more towards a four-cylinder diesel engine as it is favored by majority of the buyers. Zuchowski commented that the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup could be the best diesel car that the U.S. audience have been waiting for. The Santa Cruz and the Santa Fe will introduce the segment in the region with full potential to witness amazing sales.

Statistics reveal that over 70,000 Santa Cruz vehicles will be sold on launch as it has huge expectations and demand among potential buyers. Hyundai believes that will easily cross 50,000 models in launch year and with more trimlines scheduled for launch, sales records are supposed to go uphill in the following months right after the official launch.

Automobile manufacturers have repeatedly experimented with the idea. They have created cars that could double up as pickup truck. Many of them couldn’t reach positive sales and choose to discontinue those models. Fiat Chrysler, Baja and Ridgeline are some good examples. The segment is becoming increasingly populated right now.

The Ford Ranger, Jeep Wrangler and Chevrolet Colorado are going to compete with the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup truck when it comes out, probably by 2018. We can say whether the hybrid truck has managed to find its spot in the market after these models are out.

Hyundai i30 Gets A Teaser Video, Introduces Cascading Grille

Hyundai is about to launch the next generation model, the i30 for which the company has rolled out an official teaser video.

The car is named as the Elantra GT hatch in the U.S. region with a brand new cascading front grille.

A radical reshaping has undergone even though the teaser image released is dark and shows little of the car. In their statement, Hyundai said, “The new model will stand proof for evolution Hyundai motor design has undergone in recent years. It features natural flowing lines with refined surfaces and a sculpted body. A timeless design is what the brand aims to achieve.”

Peter Schreyer, chief designer at Hyundai made the comment and confirmed that they are highly confident of what the new range of i30 cars have to offer. Designed with the average buyer in mind, the model is priced at the right point and is filled to the top with basic features. It is not just value for money the automaker wishes to offer. They are experimenting with some new design including the notable cascading grille.

For the first time in many years, Hyundai is moving away from the horizontal slants found in all previous Elantra models. The decision to move away from a tried and tested solution is a big one but it is essential in a time where the market is competitive with new budget friendly models hitting stores almost every month. It is not just the grille but the headlights and the taillights are now narrower to look it. The change gives a sporty look to the i30 model.

The new Hyundai i30 is coming to the Paris auto show. We even have a confirmed release date for the model. The Elantra GT is hitting U.S. stores by September 7th.An efficient and dynamic powertrain lineup will be offered with the car allowing people to go for the one that best fits their requirement.

The upcoming Elantra GT is expected to be powered by a tweaked version of the current 2.0-liter inline engine. The car offers about 173 horsepower coupled with 154 lb feet of torque. There might be slight variations in overall performance and horsepower. But, being a budget friendly model, you cannot expect any drastic changes in performance. It is important to use similar powertrains so that the total cost to own the next gen i30 is within the usual range. Check out the video below to know more about the upcoming model.

Hyundai Launched A New i20 Turbo Edition With Additional Kits

Hyundai has launched a new i20 Turbo Edition, a model exclusive to commemorating the success the i20 brand witnessed in recent years.

For a small hatchback powered by a three-cylinder turbo engine, special editions are something unheard of. However, Hyundai seems to be proud of what they have achieved with their car. The budget friendly, moderate performer is a huge hit in most regions. Celebrating the same, the company has launched the Hyundai i20 Turbo edition priced at £12,975.

The car is powered by a 1.0-liter Turbo engine capable of delivering up to 99 horsepower. The five door model is definitely not geared towards sports car lovers and is made for moderate performance. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 10.9 seconds. If you love fast cars, it’s good not to go for the i20 Turbo as it is meant for the average buyer. Those who like to have a fuel efficiency, readily affordable model for everyday commuting with ample space, this car offers enough headroom for all passengers.

The same model in its previous generation doesn’t offer so many additional kits and features. The i20 turbo edition from Hyundai stands apart as it offers more bang for the buck. There are plenty of new equipment and components that will cost a lot more if purchased individually. The Turbo Edition features cruise control, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and a multi-function wheel with leather wrapping.

While all these features are already found in the base model of the car, the new launch includes a large seven-inch touchscreen display to navigate the infotainment system. It uses satellite navigation, automatic lights, rain sensing wipers and a rear view camera. For anyone who finds it difficult to park their i20 or navigate it through congested locations, the camera should be of great help.

Along with the special edition, Hyundai i20 Turbo comes with free seven-year subscription to weather and traffic updates provided by TomTom. While these are all cool features, the pricing of the model £12,975which is almost a thousand pounds lower than the base model makes it a must buy. If you can manage to find the car in dealership store and has planned to go for a i20 already, this edition should be the best pick. It comes with a whole lot of connectivity and comfort features but for a lesser price tag than the original model.

2017 Genesis G80 Pricing Is Higher Than Hyundai Genesis

Hyundai announced the new luxury Genesis brand and it was promoted as an elite variant on par with brands like Mercedes, Audi and Rolls Royce.

The automobile company was keen on establishing a name for themselves in the luxury sector where they have limited presence at the moment. Hyundai has always been a budget friendly company known for its low and mid range cars. They don’t compete with BMW, Audi and Mercedes but rather against Ford, Honda in the mid-range buyer category. Everything is about to change with the new 2017 Genesis G80 which costs $42, 350 for the base model.

Powered by a rear wheel drive system and a 3.8-liter V6 engine, this is the cheapest the Genesis could get. But, compared to Hyundai Genesis the new G80 is priced $2,650 higher. If you are planning to upgrade the vehicle with an all-wheel drive, it boosts the base cost by $2,500. All trimline variants which use the AWD system are equipped with heated rear seats and steering wheels making it easier to drive it around when the temperature drops.

At first look, the 2017 Genesis G80 is similar to the outgoing model. Buyers might be wondering as to why they should pay such a premium price tag for the same car. However, if you take a closer look, it is easy to know that the new generation model has some amazing features and safety add-ons making it worth the pricing.

The car is equipped with adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, emergency braking, high beam assist, lane keeping assist and every other feature which is part of the Hyundai Safety Suite. The infotainment system is one of the best with a large 8-inch display. It allows you to readily control the media. The system can be connected with both Android and iOS devices made possible by Android Auto and Apple Car Play features.

The premium package for the Genesis G80 2017 edition increases the comfort level with a 14-speaker Lexicon surround sound, parking sensors, ventilated seats and a sliding panoramic roof. It will set you back by $4,750. Ultimate package priced at $4,200 provides full leather seats, larger 9.2-inch touchscreen display, immersive 17-speaker surround setup, power trunk lid and color heads up display.

If the base model’s 311 horsepower and 292 lb feet of torque sounds meager, buyers can upgrade to a 5.0-liter V8 engine to get a cool 420 horsepower coupled with 383 lb feet of torque. Top end model is priced at $55,500.

Hyundai Is Working On Next Generation Fuel Cell, Aims To Launch It In 2018

Hyundai is the pioneers of technology and has always given their best to the automobile industry.

The brand revealed the fuel cell vehicle which was suitable for mass production in the year 2013.

Similar to it, Hyundai is working on a next generation fuel cell now. If the research and development division gets the job done, buyers would probably see the new technology in all vehicles from 2018 onwards. By this innovation, the automobile brand is planning to push the fuel cell technology to new levels and give new vehicles a much needed boost.

According to an automotive magazine, Hyundai is going to introduce the fuel cell in all their vehicles. It is expected to be eco-friendly and deliver an increased performance. The new range of vehicles powered by the fuel cell will provide an output which falls right in between that of a CUV and a SUV.

The battery size will witness a significant increase in the new range of vehicles launched in 2018. Hyundai confirmed that they will go with a smaller fuel cell which will have more capacity but will physically be smaller in size designed for the new chassis. The electric motor to be used in the car will have higher capacity. The new technology is about to coincide with the 2018 Winter Olympics to be held in South Korea.

The idea is to promote the brand new technology and the lineup of vehicles at this huge event in Korea. It will give Hyundai an amazing head start and advantage against other competitors. Talking about the vehicle, the company’s eco-development director, Ahn Byung Ki commented that the event is big and they like to let the world know that the team has come up with the best eco-friendly invention in recent times.

“The event is huge and we look forward to make the most out of it. Such events are always great for PR. We love to show what we have accomplished this time,” said Ahn in his statement.

Hyundai already provides their Tucson fuel cell for vehicles in California. They are being leased for a sum of $499 a month. It also includes free hydrogen fuel. The company has touched some milestones including one where their drivers have managed to complete over one millions on road using the fuel cell. At least 28 new energy efficient, green vehicles are slated to get launched under the Hyundai brand before 2020.

2017 Genesis G80 Upgraded With Active Safety Features

Hyundai Genesis which was renamed as the 2017 Genesis G80 has received some major active safety features and performance upgrades.

The newer version of the carwill be powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine. The powertrain is capable of delivering a total of 311 horsepower coupled with 293 lb feet of torque. For buyers who want that extra oomph factor and would never settle for less, the brand offers a 5.0-liter V8 engine which is capable of rendering 420 horsepower along with 383 lb feet of torque. It is easily the best Genesis G80 that you could get on the road.

Buyers can also choose to upgrade their car to an all-wheel drive. An eight speed automatic transmission is the only gearbox system provided by Genesis. The list of active safety features is what makes the 2017 Genesis G80 stand out from its older models. The new upgrades include lane keep assist, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking when the driver fails to respond in time and high beam assist. With such collision avoidance features, the car has already managed to receive the Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS also known as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

For the convenience of entertainment lovers, the 2017 Genesis G80 is integrated withApple Car Play and Android Auto features. The car is equipped with a large 8-inch touchscreen system which can be upgraded to a 9.2-inch screen. The size should be smooth for an in-car infotainment system but it can’t be considered an overkill especially in a time where we enjoy watching movies, music on the go. A navigation system can be used with a smaller 4.3-inch display or a bigger 7-inch display.

The music system is probably one of the best features in the Genesis G80 which includes a 17-speaker setup powered by a Lexicon Discrete Logic 7 Surround system including a heads up display. The Genesis G80 also has a Sport edition available exclusive for the Korean market. The particular model is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine which delivers up to 365 horsepower. There is no word on bringing the model to North America but Hyundai might do it if they find enough buyers interested in it.

Meanwhile, you can always opt for the new 2017 Genesis G80 with all these safety features. It makes up for a great family wagon and an ideal choice for those who need the best performance on road.

2017 Hyundai Elantra Lineup Expanded With Performance Driven Variants

The latest 2017 Hyundai Elantra sedan has been added to the lineup which is now bigger and better with a whole lot of performance driven variants.

While most automobile brands are out to try sporty grille, a sharp looking front fascia and a different finish, Hyundai has decided to stick with the basics. The company didn’t make any drastic changes to their model. However, when you take a quick look at the Elantra 2017 edition, it does look sharp and the styling treatments are so good that most new generation buyers would enjoy buying one.

The Elantra Sport uses a set of unique design elements to set it apart from the base model. One noticeable change is the front grille which has been fully blacked out. The horizontal LED lights adorn the front fascia which is combined with unique alloy wheels, dual exhaust ports and a headlight cluster.

On the inside, the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport features a flat bottom steering wheel. The particular design has been considered comfortable by most which is why the brand decided to go for it in a sporty model. The sporty variant is carried out in the form of the red accents used in the seats and the logo Sport has been duly embroidered in the back of the seats to showcase its exclusivity.

A 1.6-liter turbo four rated engine is used to power up the Elantra Sport model. It is capable of delivering a total of 200 horsepower combined with 190 lb feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to a six speed manual transmission engine. Buyers have the option to upgrade their model to a dual clutch seven speed automatic gearbox if they like to. Instead of the torsion beam setup used in the SE and ECO models, Hyundai has opted for an independent rear suspension system with the Elantra Sport.

“The Elantra Sport stands proof stands proof to the work our team has put into it. We wanted to create a compelling vehicle which syncs with what our buyers want and the best the engineering team could deliver. The Sport will be a worthy addition,”commented Mike Evanoff during the release.

Whenever Hyundai stepped into the enthusiastic market, they have had very little response from the buyers. The 2017 Elantra Sport is supposed to change it for the company for good. More details on its pricing and release date will be out on a later date.
