The brand has been around for a while and the team has managed to bring the new front fascia for all car owners.
Tesla, the electric car maker recently launched the cheaper Model 3. They have already rolled out the new Model S sedan with a sharp and stylish looking fascia. But, they didn’t focus on those customers who already own the car and are looking to change its overall appearance. The mid-cycle refresh for the Model S sedan is available only for those who decide to buy the new version.
The front fascia is smoothed out giving a refreshing look to the sedan. The crew at Unplugged Performance managed to copy the entire design without compromising on the performance or features of the car. In their announcement, the company confirmed they have tested their package on all models launched between 2012 and 2016. It worked flawlessly without affecting the performance or features like the AutoPilot. The jump start terminals located in front of the car was not affected at all.
Unplugged Performance is not just releasing a random upgrade for the car but spent enough time to test how it performs in real life. They conducted aerodynamics testing to ensure the car performs exactly as it should in high speeds and cooling tests as well. The refreshed didn’t affect any of these making it a reliable option to go for. Customers who buy the additional equipment will have to paint it using third party sources so as to suit the color of their car.
The new front fascia is priced at $2,995 and when you pre-order the unit, it is mandatory to pay $300. All customers who buy the same before July 1st are eligible for a special discount of $500 which significantly brings down the cost of the peripheral. A list of customization options is offered by Unplugged Performance including rear, front diffusers, 21-inch BBS wheels and carbon fiber trunk spoiler. All of them can be purchased separately and added to Tesla Model S cars.
Sharing his view about the role played by the company, Ben Shaffer President of Unplugged Performance said that they aim to become AMG, the official customization vendor for all Mercedes Cars. The idea is to be the best Tesla customization experts for all existing and any future models they might release.
