Tesla Model X SUV Becomes More Affordable for Buyers with New Trimlines

Tesla Model X SUV is a revolutionary piece of automobile created by the company which specializes in making electric cars.

The company did a great job, but the price tag of $132,000 is bit too high, probably for almost every buyer, unless you have a fortune waiting to be spent.

In order to make the falcon door SUV a bit more affordable for the general crowd, Tesla has decided to launch a couple of new trim line variants. They will be priced lower than the highest Signature edition which also features the amazing ludicrous speed mode. There will soon be two different variants of the SUV named the 90D and the 70D.

The automobile manufacturer has also confirmed the technical specifications of these upcoming vehicles. The first one, named the 90D will be powered by a 259 horsepower electric motor in this all-electric SUV which will use a 90 kWh battery. The car is extremely fast with an acceleration capability that allows it to zoom from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds. Another amazing feature is its mileage as the vehicle can travel up to 257 miles on a single charge, which electric cars could seldom boast of.

Tesla’s cheapest variant of the Model X SUV is the 70D which features a smaller 70 kWh battery pack and obviously is less powerful on the road. With a smaller battery, the mileage of the car is affected a bit as it can travel 220 miles on a single charge which is at least 40 miles lesser than its big brother. However, it is extremely good when compared to many other cars available in the market today, which rely more on gasoline engines and offer an average of 50 miles on an electric motor with reduced horsepower.

The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in nearly the same speed as the 70D with a slight difference. The pricing of the 70D will be much cheaper at $80,000, which doesn’t include delivery charges. Increasing the number of seats to six will cost $3000 while making it seven will cost you $4000 more. The Autopilot feature can be included separately for $2500 and many other features are available as add-ons so as to keep the base price of the SUV as low as possible. Official pricing of Tesla 90D is yet to be out which might be a tad higher than this model.
