The price of the Koenigsegg Agera RS is simply unreachable for the entire world’s population, except for the very few billionaires out there. But, that didn’t stop that minor lot from purchasing the vehicle and it is already sold out.
Coming from Sweden, the brand has isolated itself from everyone else around the globe. Auto manufacturers like Ferrari and Lamborghini are no match for this monster brand. Anyone who purchased a Koenigsegg would probably say that a Ferrari is a cheaper and budget friendly car to own.
Agera RS is the next gen vehicle they have launched and unsurprisingly only 25 models of the car will be made. It was officially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 and the company is busy producing them one by one. Those who have purchased it had received the car while there are some who are still waiting to get it. With just 25 customers, it might sound easy on paper to deliver them all at once but they take their own sweet time to build them to perfection.
Customers who have purchased the exorbitantly priced vehicle hail from all parts of the world including China, U.S., Canada, Malaysia and the Middle East. After all, if those who are in the UAE are not going to buy it, then who else would go for these luxury vehicles.
With an improved design and powertrain, the Agera RS is capable of producing 450 kilograms of downforce, when it is travelling at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Everything in the exterior has been optimized to deliver better performance including the underbody flap system, the rear spoiler, side skirts, front winglets among many others components.
The car is powered by a V8 5.0-liter petrol engine and provides an incredibly amazing 1160 horsepower on road. The power is overwhelming and the car cannot be driven at top speed in every road. Maybe, the owners have to find an isolated long stretch to actually see it touch its maximum speed. Those who have brought it but not received it yet will have to wait until 2017. The production takes time, confirmed the company’s representatives in their press statement.
The level of sophistication, control and performance is truly out of the world. We always work to outsmart our own products, commented the boss of the company Christian Von Koenigsegg. He’s the man behind the cars that changed the automobile industry.
